This BBQ restaurant serves some of the most flavorful meats we have had. The kids meals, and all side dishes are large- so with little kids the meals can easily be split. The counter service moves quickly and there are plenty of tables in the seating area which was nicely decorated. Definitely will return next time in STL area.

Went looking for a new BBQ place in the area. It is kind of a hole in the wall, which is ok, but the food just seemed mediocre to me. Service was slow and menu was hard to read (written very small in the chalk boards behind the counter. I got the brisket sandwich and my wife got some sort of club type sandwich. It was ok, but definitely not work a return trip. Meat just seemed dry and not enough sauce on it. Portions were ok, but quality did not seem that great. Plus the boxes of bandages and band aids all over the back counter by the registers was a little disheartening !!!!

Neat environment that made me feel like it was 1990s again. Laid back atmosphere. Waitress appeared to do everything, and was very knowledgeable of menu. Good lunch menu. I went with the combo sandwich. It was solid. A little fatty as itâs sliced, but good.

We have been tomthis location twice. Them first time we were pretty disappointed at the ribs being dry and chewy. Our friend suggested we meet with friends there giving us another shot at it. This time, I ordered the Beef platter and my husband ordered the rack of ribs again. This time, the ribs were very juicy and pretty good. However, the beef platter was not very impressive. The meat was cooked ok and seasoned ok, but it felt like a precooked, premade product that was microwaved and cut into small pieces like dog food. It's not that it was microwaved, it just wasn't really so impressive. The coleslaw is awesome. Love their coleslaw and side dishes. The ribs are cooked dry so you add the barbecue sauce that you like: spicy, sweet, honey and several combinations. Just do not go there after 8pm on weeknights. We closed the place the first time, which is why, I guess, our ribs were tired. I am o,eased that the second try was better. The service on both counts was awesome. The girls who we had ( Amber, the last time) have been really friendly and patient. They were effective, quick and uninvasive as we laughed and had fun with friends. The atmostphere is casual and friendly. It's a good place to spend time eating and drinking beer with friends. I enjoyed my last visit and will take note of the time next time.
