This tavern is small, informal looking but service is friendly & food is delicious & cheap. We had a really nice dinner here of tzatiki, bread, Greek salad & souvalaki with chips. We thought the pork ones were tastier then the chicken. We were given a big slice of baklava & fruit on the house. This place doesn't look as fancy as the other 2 big taverns in the village but the food is worth coming for.

Maklithari was very convenient for where we were staying in Makriotika, so we rather hoped it might become our regular evening haunt. Although the menu looks trendy, the actual food is resolutely traditional in not a particularly good way. Our shared starter of riganada (a Greek version of bruschetta) was average and the toast was too thick. Mains of moussaka with chips and cod with skordalia suffered from the Greek affliction of aversion to heat and leaving everything hanging around while children were being entertained by cartoons on the TV. The restaurant has a great view, however.

Another of our favourite restaurants in Fiscardo - the grilled meat is amazing and so are the potatoes! We always without fail have a fabulous dinner and are currently sat here waiting for our food! It smells amazing! The staff are fabulous and we look forward to visiting again soon
