Reviews on Barbecue food in Amed, Abang, Bali. This East Bali beach town is known for excellent SCUBA diving and snorkeling. New hotels are springing up on this coast, especially in Candidasa, a scenic 40-minute drive to its south. Amed is also a great place to admire Bali’s colorful outrigger boats.

What’s unusual about this restaurant is that from the top floor, you get spectacular views of the mountain range that surrounds Amed. On September evenings it can be quite cool. The menu is extensive and well priced. As with most of Amed’s Restaurants, the satay is delish, here the chicken wrapped is outstanding. Service is friendly. Recommended.

I can’t speak to the main food offerings (we only had spring rolls and they were huge and delicious), but I’d strongly recommend this place for the location and atmosphere. Warung BoBo is right on the point of the beach. To the north, it is mostly just black sand. Right out from BoBo’s is where the coral starts. The pyramids are almost right out from this place (although a bit too deep for just snorkelling). So, get your fins/mask from wherever and head on down to BoBo’s. Order a drink and get set up. The staff at the restaurant will point you in the right directions, and what’s best- they will watch your stuff while you are out in the water. We went around 4:30, snorkelled for about an hour, then got out and used the beach showers at BoBo’s before ordering a drink and watching the sunset over the volcano on huge comfy beach bean bag chairs. Great experience! Thanks guys!

Outstanding food, especially the chicken curry. Located right on the beach with amazing views of Mount Agung. The service was friendly, the staff rather rustic, but that was ok. Shocked at how good the food was. And cheap. Portions were smallish but adequate. Western toilet attached to the restaurant. But despite being on the menu, no beef. Lots of high mercury seafood as with all of Bali.
