At The Fishinâ Pig, we have the finest from land and sea: savory, smoked meats and flavorful, fresh seafood! The Fishinâ Pig is a southern culinary combination that will delight all the senses! Eat like a pig. Drink like a fish. â
The place had a really nice set-up. Corn hole on the side, band stand out back, outdoor bar as well as food seating, numerous tvâs to watch sports. Next was the food. We ordered the smoked wings, broiled to a glaze, sampler plate, burger. The wings werenât broiled and glazed but they were good and meaty. The burger was over cooked, the andouille was not traditional but it was was a great smoked sausage, the brisket was tasteless and very greasy, the shredded pork and chicken were very very dry, the ribs were tender and tasteless.Thank you for taking the time to fill out a review, as any feedback is greatly appreciated and helps us to improve. We are sorry to hear that your recent visit was unsatisfactory. We will be addressing your complaints about the food with our kitchen staff. We hope that you will give us the chance to improve and come back to dine with us.
My friends and I were so excited to try the new and improved Heritage on Main when it reopened. Finally, we were able to go and give it a try. We liked the old place but didn't love it and the decor was lacking. When entering the new Heritage, we were blown away with how beautiful it is! The transformation is fantastic, but that's where the positive stopped. We ordered three different dishes. We had the crab cake appetizer, the Shrimp Polenta, and the Mushroom Cap. The waitress was very nice and attentive but maybe should have warned us about the "crab cakes" that were ordered. I would maybe call them crab medallions, they were SO extremely small. We were willing to overlook this until we tasted them. Honestly, I'd be surprised if there was any crab at all. The aioli that came with them was good, but we ordered more (and were charged extra without being told), but it really couldn't mask the nothing taste. The polenta was tasty, but it was hard to believe the $15 price tag was for such little food. The Mushroom Cap was by far the most food and was pretty good. We found the choices for the decor, tablecloths, etc. to be quite nice but odd when there are bands playing, a run-of-the-mill bar, trivia nights, etc. It's like they want fine dining but aren't ready to commit. It was confusing. Also, the lights flickered which gave me a headache.Overall, there are a lot of decent restaurants in the area that serve great food with good portions. We will take our money elsewhere and wait for the inevitable closing of Heritage on Main.

My family often cannot agree on a restaurant we all like, but all of us like Smoked. They love the brisket and pork and other meat sandwiches, while I love their sides, including broccoli salad, roasted cauliflower, and sweet potato. Even better, the food comes out very quickly. My husband also enjoys local beer options.
