This is our second year at Playa La Ropa and we have tried many of the restaurants along the beach with limited success. Our host this year recommended lunch at La Gaviota and we were not disappointed. The setting is simply stunning. Right on the water, with a view slightly different from the main area of the beach. I had the shrimp tacos (5 in a serving) and my partner had Sashimi. Both dishes were delicious. Service was great. The drinks were cold! We will definitely return. My only regret is that they are not open at sunset!!Thank you very much for your comments, make us happy! We hope you come back soon, greetings from Zihua!Next year we will open for sunset & dinner, promise.

We literally stumbled on La Tasca walking along the seawall!Great location, excellent vibe, live entertainment and a great view over the bay. Full Luna tonight.Service was very good, informative explaining every dish.Marguitas were excellent, same for the sangria. We only had a few dishes, parmesan wings, tacos and the Calimari. Wings, very tasty, tacos supreme, Calimari could use some work. The other dishes were top drawer, Calimari not so much. Easy to improve that dish. We also watch and asked about several others. Evening special, the lamb, nice. The tomato bruchetta, mouthwatering and the tuna ceviche, tempting!A must in Zihuatenejo, a shirt walk from Centro and the basketball courts!!

We were staying a short distance away at Hotel Irma, which was situated on Playa La Madera. Some guests recommended that we visit Play La Ropa and that we could access the beach at Restaurante La Perla. The distance between these two establishments is not great, a taxi fare of around 45 pesos will get you there. This is popular spot on the beach. This is a nice restaurant serving all the meals that a day offers, decent service, good food, prices not bad, perhaps a bit more higher, to be expected at such a popular tourist spot! Our BLT sandwich plus two cokes cost $200 pesos plus a tip. We were here to gain access to the beach, we were able to secure two beach chairs/umbrella for $130 pesos. This was a decent price which gave us good seating and was in close proximity to the beach. We also had good service to whatever snacks and drinks we "needed".Playa La Ropa is probably the most desirable beach on Zihuatanejo Bay. The waves seemed more gentle and there was more of a slope out to the water. Playa LA Madera has a very flat beach which allows the waves to pound quite a ways up over the sand. There is not much soft sand to sit on and you really have to go out quite a ways to get into wadeable water. Also, as you can see in pictures, the water is very cloudy until you get out to where the water hits the sand bar, consequently, you have large, noisy waves forming at this point. This is hard to explain, but there you go, I tried. Anyway, La Ropa is a much nicer beach.Enjoy!

Zihuatanejo Best Hamburgers in Town, Great Salads, Pastas, Roast Beef Sandwich, BBQ Ribs, Buffalo Wings and more... right down town Zihua!
We have the lasagna which had been microwave. It was a disappointment. It was served with a garden salad that was heavy on the dressing.

This is a moderately priced restaurant conveniently located near Playa la Ropa. The eating space at the back looks out at a beautiful garden that was nicely lighted up at night. The night we were there they had a musician which was a great touch. The food is very good.

Daniel,s restaurant is located on the sidewalk of Playa Principal with a great view of the sea and the local activities like the morning fishing. Not to forget the best MARGARITAS in town. The satisfaction of our clients is the most important for us
Weâve eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinners here numerous times, and have always been treated well, the food has been good. As someone else mentioned, the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, are very good. Sitting right on the beach, or on the paseo, makes it a dining pleasure. Itâs what beachside dining is all about!

Mexican cuisine, bar and sports. Live music everynight, salsa dancing on weekends. Come to taste our amazing food, we recommend the "Molcajetes"
Ate here many times during our five week stay, and always excellent service and quality. A bit more pricey than other places, but it has a good atmosphere, is very clean, and the food quality is excellent. The molcajete is something Iâve never come across and is delicious!! Served in a hot traditional lava bowl, youâll see many patrons having it. Had some amazing fish tacos here. Definitely one of the better places to eat in town.

Zihuatanejo's oldest building, serving excellent food from a seasonal menu and cocktail list since 1979 - CLOSED for the Season - Reopening in November 2019
The food, service and atmosphere at Coconuts in Zihuatanejo was simply perfection. The beautiful courtyard welcomed us into the warm and inviting garden like atmosphere. Our servers were wonderful and very friendly... Clearly well trained for first class service and attention... Best of all was the amazing food. The tuna sashimi was presented and rivaled any I have had in Tokyo and the Hearts of Palm marinated salad simply melted with flavor... The Shrimp scampi and the Shrimp Chile Relleno was gourmet and both were flavor explosions.... Loved it.... To close out our meal was the carmel crepes which ere made at the table. Simply perfection in every way....
