Years ago this small bar was awarded all sorts of global prizes for its cocktails. Tonight it seems to have expanded into a cafe, including a street veranda. Probably better, but somehow lost some of the Russian character of the 1990s.

We went here on our visit to Yaroslavl with friend of my father-in-law who recommended this restaurant. They have very good beer selection and all kinds of beer are being served here depending on the season - the time we went to Pivovar there was a Slovenian beer festival. Apart from good beer we also ordered a tasting selection of different schnapps - five of them come in one go, one with cedar tree seed, one with horseradish, one pepper vodka and two lighter berry schnapps. The food is very good, try the creme of potatoes soup and you'll be delighted. The appetizers and mains were also delicious. I had a Volga carp which was very very good, even though the wait for it was quite long. Waitress nice and dealt with our requests and complaints well. Overall a positive experience and good lunch.

Absolutely enjoyed night of drinking in this place with my friends. Awesome dj in the outside area, great live band playing inside, fast service and really cheap bar. This place gatheres very different people, but the atmosphere is so lovely here, the crowd is very friendly and nice. I highly enjoyed partying here and looking forward to go there again!

Best part of this place is great atmosphere. I visited the place several times and sometimes food has been great, and sometimes food has been not so good (cured meats for beer appetizer plate was really salty and inedible). Cocktails are great and service is always good. Will give it another try, but unless food consistency improves that would be it for me for food, but will always come back for cocktails.We are very pleased that you took the time to submit your review on the restaurant team. Thank you very much for such a high appreciation of our work , it is really valuable to us . We will wait for you in Yaroslavl again !

I ran into this place while looking for a restaurant listed in my Lonely Planet. Great selection of beers. Think over 30 on tap. For a change in Russia, the staff speaks english and is not afraid to do so. Besides beer food like sausages, they also serve burgers, grilled salmon and "big" salads. Oh and that chocolate mousse with salted peanuts..... I can also recommend the Latte, more like a mocchiato. Great atmosphere and refreshing compared to the regular bars and restaurants in Russia. Only weird a place like this sits in a sleepy town like Yaroslavl.

Real soviet beer bar where you can try very cheap beer and some beerfood like chicken, "taranka", roasted bread with garlic. I can't say that there delicious. One problem is not so easy to find this place for foreign tourists.Thank you very much!Come to our place, you are very welcome!

Cosy, small place; the beer was awesome and the staff very helpful. I had also a decent hamburger with fries but the value was really in the bottle (and the advice on which bottle given my preferences).

What a place. The range of beers from all of Europe is extremely impressive, if slightly pricey. Still it's good value. The food is really tasty and always fresh. Good place to watch sport on the TV.
