The restaurant is very popular with the visitors to Hyannis and gets very popular, meaning that a wait is probable. However, this was worthwhile as the food, particularly the fish and chips, was very enjoyable. Many groups were dining meaning that the noise level was high.Thank you so much for reviewing! We look forward to having one meal at Embargo every time we come to the Cape. We absolutely love the tapas options and we have a hard time paring our list down to 4 or 5 options. The atmosphere is so perfect too, half hipster, half old-fashioned vibe. Weâve always had great service and we tell everyone we know to stop here!

My husband is a huge seafood lover and I am not - we had read reviews and checked out the menu so this place we decided to try. He ordered the seafood stew and moaned with just about every bite. He loved the light broth and the amount of seafood that was in it. Our server wasn't the friendliest but we didn't let bother us too much!

Been passing this place for ten years and finally decided to try it. We were not impressed. The menu had a little of everything on it, and we tried a variety of different things. None of them were very good. The interior is dark and dated, and service was very average. There are too many good places around to go here, sorry.Sorry you were not impressed. We always wish for our customers to have a great experience, and most of them do. We visited years ago and on our recent trip decided to try it again. Initially we we're greeted by a somewhat angry hostess and honestly we we're very put off by this, however we had the best server who very nice, happy, friendly and really turned our moods around! Food was great, I had the scallops, so fresh and perfectly cooked, my husband had the swordfish and shared fried calamari. Everything was cooked perfectly. We would go back again. Quaint place on the water with very good food. Parking is valet only. Once inside, you are met by a hostess and seated soon after. Recommend having a reservation as they are very busy and very popular. Dress is Cape casual which means virtually anything goes. Better dress seems to help with the staff attention.

Smaller restaurant, but well worth a visit. We went there twice during our week at the cape. Excellent food. The lobster rolls were great, we also had the salmon and the cod, both delicious and nicely presented. Accessibility very good, the entrance is a ramp and there is a ramp down into the dining area (I use a cane).

The service was excellent. The pizza (Italian Sausage with peppers) was very good. The unusual chowder was interesting. Crab Cakes needed more crab, although the accompanying aioli and relish were very good. The signature Seared Scallops with ravioli disappointed, the dish being too salty overall and the rich sauce, we felt, overwhelmed the flavor of the scallops. I would go back only for the pizza, or maybe to try other dishes.

The oldest building in Cape Cod. We arrived from Boston at 11:30 right when they opened up, perfect timing. We were thirsty and ready for lunch. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were 4 of us, we all ordered Bloody Marys, they were excellent. The food was fantastic and this is lunch, I wished we had time to come back for diner, I quess that will happen if we are in Cape Cod again.
