Stopped in recently for lunch while working in the area. Dockside has always been a staple for me when I'm in the neighborhood. Atmosphere is hard to beat, food was above average, but I honestly cannot get to the excellent category on this trip. Looking forward to my next Shrimp Burger!

Iâve been coming to this restaurant for about 15 years often on. It is situated right across from one of the places that my partner and I stay when we come to Wrightsville Beach. I had wanted to patronize this place, especially after the hurricane of last year. It was a terrible experience. We were not well greeted by the hostess, it was cold and loud in the restaurant. Very very cold and it was the middle of July. We wanted to sit outside but they said at the time they were not seating people outside because it was windy, then we saw plenty of people getting seated outside. It seemed like the hostess was not informing the wait staff and vice versa.When we got to the bar the bartenders acted like they could care less about any of the people ordering drinks and they were not friendly or helpful. When we finally got seated it was just extremely cold and we were not able to stay there.This restaurant has always been overpriced, but it is usually worth it because there is usually a good vibe and also the scenery is lovely. But after our recent experience we never want to go back there again, there are plenty of other great seafood restaurants in Wrightsville Beach and we will be supporting those.

This is a place that you go for the atmosphere and the food is okay too.It is located near the draw bridge on the intercoastal waterway. They have good hot crab dip that comes with bread. I had a salad with fried shrimp added. Ingredients were fresh. Dressing was refreshing.Also had a rum punch that was very refreshing. Service was good.

Friendly service and good food. The seafood boil for one was just right. Generous portions, especially salads and sandwiches. The quantity of menu items is limited after Hurricane Florence but the quality is excellent. Different drink specials each day. Excellent Bloody Mary for Sunday special.Thank you for your review. Good menu options. Restaurant was very accommodating to wifeâs allergies. If you are a fish eating vegetarian, like my wife, she liked the mahi-mahi tacos and me being a carnivore I tried the BBQ Grilled Cheese with tots. Both of us enjoyed our entrees. It is quite loud inside, very popular place. A lot of bar seating and high top tables-only a few normal tables.

Located in the Holiday Inn, it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is indoor and outdoor dining options. We always eat lunch there when staying at the Inn. It is so convenient to walk up from the pool area and sit outside overlooking the pool and ocean. Service is friendly and just the right pace for a vacation setting. Pricey but that is to be expected when staying at a 'resort' and by the beach. You may eat by the pool but there is a 'restaurant/bar' for that called Lazy Daze. Thrilled they have a nice place for us to grab a sandwich, burger, salad, etc. without having to leave the Inn.

Sitting outside on the patio, next to the attractive brick wall on a nice summer's evening at Poe's, is the way to go. The Coranado Orange Wit and the Old Tuffy drafts were ice cold and the Shrimp salad and the Pit and the Pendulem burger were very good. This burger had the addition of bacon and cheddar cheese and the potato salad was about as good as I have had. They were red potatoes in large chunks with a limited amount of mayonaise. The bacon blue cole slaw was also pretty good and our waitress was just right. Poe's has a nice upbeat casual atmosphere.

As a solo woman sitting at the bar, I just had a $2 Nicaraguan beer &The BEST scallops/Thai noodle bowl for under $10. Had horrible quiche earlier for same price but thatâs another review!Chris is a friendly & nice waiter. He was good at chit-chat & seemed to know most of the clientele. Iâm visiting from Pa.My food arrived quickly, w/o any mistakes. I took 1/2 home for another day. Beer was tasty, as promised. A cute pooch behind the bar helps things move along. They have specials every day except Saturday...M-closed T- $1 tacos W-$4.95 chicken waffle /burger $1.95 wine R- 1/2 off âbowlsâF-free wings w/drink purchaseS-no specials Sun-$2.50/5 wings Note, one bar side caters to kids, the other gives us childless (or those seeking a break from THEIR kids?) folk a break from kidsâ dining experiences.
