We arrived first thing, do there were no delays in serving is on a Friday. The menu is varied and the food was delicious. Unlike other recent reviewers, we have absolutely no problems with the speed and quality of service. Would definitely come again.

Food led pub, serving food from 11am. Monthly live music plus charity events. Weekly quiz- every Wednesday from 8:30. Bookings advisable
Went to The Three Frogs on a Thursday evening (5:30pm) with my wife and mother in law and Iâm so glad we never had our children with us. There was a group of men and women sitting outside with their own young children, all shouting and swearing really loudly. All the swear words you really donât want your kids to hear or repeat. It completely ruined the experience for us and there is no way we would ever return.I would like to first of all apologies for your experience on this evening you came to dine with us, we would love for you to come back and see that our establishment isn't usually like this, we have a very friendly team of staff that are always willing to help in times like this. Thank you for your feed back and apologies again.

Good food. Decent beer. Pleasant ambience. Friendly service. Good value. All ingredients very high quality, including the vegetables (which often seem to let down a pub restaurant Sunday lunch).

Pretty local, country pub serving real ales and great food with a covered beer garden and great atmosphere
Although this pub/restaurant is only a few miles away from us, yesterday was the first time we went for a meal there. We were 4 adults that went for an evening meal and we had starters and mains. We received a friendly welcome and all of the staff were excellent, there was a nice atmosphere. The starters were lovely and the mains were good although two of them were slightly overcooked (fish in batter and a steak pie). We did feel that all of the food and also the drink was a bit overpriced. That said the service was excellent.

The only pub in the country named The Queen's Oak. 400 years old & built on a Roman ruin. A proper English pub serving nice homemade British food and a range of beverages including cask conditioned real ales. There are plenty of picturesque walks nearby a
This was our second visit to the Queen's Oak, both of which were excellent. The location is very good, right in the countryside, the church close to, yet only just outside Finchampstead. It is a lovely country pub and restaurant, with 'character', well preserved in the recent renovation. It is well run by Paul and his team, The choice of food was wide, and well cooked and presented, and we enjoyed our time there very much. We shall go back before very long. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat in the area which is a little bit different.Good evening David,Fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed your meal with us.This really is a beautiful part of the world; we also have some leaflets, with some circular walks, available in the bar area, so that you can explore this wonderful countryside even further. We hope to see you again soon.Paul, Tom and the Queens Oak Team

I went in last Sunday for a roast and some drinks with my partner. We were greeted at the bar and were brought down to the restaurant. We were promptly brought water by our delightful young waitress âtanwenâ(a Welsh name we were told). We ordered a glass of wine and a larger which we got quickly. Tanwin returned to take our order shortly after and recommend the beef, to which we both obliged. Our roast beef was delightful, but could have done with a bit more. We shared a sticky toffee pudding and left very happy. Will be back again!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch and first sitting of the day & chefs r good. Shocked bottle of wine ordered just put on table And not even opened for us or checked thatâs what we ordered. Then to find out the person who did this is the Manager is a shame but maybe they were having a off day. Food was lovely but could have been hotter or plates warmed up to keep food warm while eating.Hi Livvy68, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. I'm disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit, and I'd really appreciate the opportunity to turn it around. Please can you get in touch when you have a spare moment 0118 978 4222

A traditional country pub serving fine food, wines, draught ales and lager. An informal setting in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, easily accessible from Reading, M4 and London. A great place to celebrate, meet clients, enjoy a Sunday roast or jus
Called in here for the first time last Saturday and it will not be our last. Charming country inn with a nice selection of decent ales and a good food menu. Like a lot of places these days seems to cater mostly for people wishing to eat, but a fair few people outside and in the garden. Warmly greeted and shown to our table in a cosy little booth type setup, very nice touch. Service was all smiles unhurried but efficient.Starters were paprika dusted whitebait, huge portion easily shareable couldn't really detect the paprika, no matter, it was delicious. The other was a duo of melon with parma ham again really good. Mains were seabass, nicely cooked with a crisp skin and calves liver, cut a little thick but ok for me, both dishes very good. No room for desserts but finished with coffees. Total cost of meal £77.60 included on the bill was a 10% service charge. The service charge grates with me but I felt was worth it do said nothing. Feel service should be my decision not theirs! There is a circular walk starting at the pub which we will try next time. Well worth a visit.

I believe the Castle Inn has been under new management for about the last six months and is gaining a strong local reputation for its restaurant.
Just had a Burger this time. Burger fine, home made, but served on a slate.I know that is the modern way of doing things this way but the food goes all over the place.Decent bottle of Spanish Wine.
