Junkyard. Great beer, food and tunes, all served with a smile - it's that simple.
We were looking for a nice easy going place for dinner as a family and thought we would try Junkyard. Look and feel was very good and we immediately all felt the place had a very positive atmosphere. It has a nice look and feel to it and the atrium area and outside area were great. The staff were very friendly, always smiling and were clearly good at their job. They set expectations around timings and happy explained any items on the menu and also gave some ideas as well - all very impressive. So why not 5 stars then? well it loses one star for the food. Don't get me wrong food was great, very tasty and the range was excellent, value was decent enough. I had a chicken rodeo burger and was very happy with it. But it came with Onion rings and I had ordered a side of chunky chips and both of these very saturated in oil, they hadn't been drained of the excess oil. I have tasted nothing but oil in my mouth since and its now 24 hours later. My kids both had burgers and they were well made, no fat and cooked well, just over seasoned with herbs, to the extent that all you could taste was herbs. There skinny fries were fine. So food was good quality, well made and other than the oil on the onion rings and chips and the over seasoning of the burgers it was very tasty. my chicken rodeo burger was excellent. So 100% we will visit again and probably soon, we may not order what we had before but please please please just can you quality check the food - thats all really!

Belmill Hotel is a modern bar, bistro hotel. We provide great food from morning till night in warm modern environment, catering to all age groups.
The Bellmill is a nice modern restaurant, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's very clean.Where they get zero out of five is the choice of vegetarian food. There is only macaroni to choose from on the all day menu, zero choices in the senior menu and slimway selection and no vegetarian choice at all from the burgers or main menu.Very poor.

Turned up here as we were passing by on the way back to Cumbria. It was a very cold day and we were the only customers. We were greeted with a warm smile and seated by the radiator. We ordered burgers, mince and tatties and minute steak. The steak was more like a rump and the pepper sauce it came with was lovely. All served piping hot which is just what we were after. Great little place.

Went with friends on Saturday night to find that there was a party being held in the Restaurant and thought this could be very noisy. This was not the case as they were the best behaved party goers i have met.Food was well presented and all courses that the 4 of us had were delicious especially the sea bass and the ginger sauce with the chicken dish was fantastic( I nearly had the cheek to ask for more)All in all a great night was had and the service was very friendly and professional.Be back soon!!!Thank you very much for your lovely comment hopefully see you soon.Catherine

Decided to go for lunch at Applebank Inn and we were not disappointed.Fabulous customer service, prompt afriendly attention without intrusion.varied menu quite extensive, finally both settled on soup of day and chicken fajitas which can only be described as an explosion of flavours. Meal was served piping hot and big serving well presented.Reasonable priced lunch and we do hope to visit again soon with friends and try out some cocktails. We had a look at drinks menu which again prices were very good for cocktails(huge list of same). All in all good decision today to visit Applebank in all its spooky glory with Halloween decks adorning the premises to add to the atmosphere of pub. busy place with constant flow of people which speaks for itself.honestly couldnât fault

The Wishaw Malt is a pub/dining establishment and is part of the Wetherspoons chain.
The Malt is the cheapest beer and food you will probably find in Wishaw,It's a really busy shop some times (weekends & holidays),the staff are always attentive and keen to provide a good experience, even when things go wrong they are usually quick to get it sorted. Its pretty clean and you can usually get served and seated no bother. The food is excellent value - their new butter chicken burger with brie & smokey chilli jam is the bizzo (£6.75 and you get a Pint). that's the price of a McD.Wait times can be longer when its really busy but I've never had any issues. The beers are changed regularly and there's always one that's worthy of a sample, regular drinks events give you a chance to sample all the weird and wonderful from all over the world - not from europe so much now that Tim Martin has given them the kibosh..The decors been updated recently with new paint and toilets, which are usually spotless unless some dirty swines been in. Even then a word to the bar gets it sorted quickly. The Wetherspoon App is pretty good and a godsend when your flying solo with your wee yins, the whole bottom section being the family area is really good idea and helps you see straight away if there is tables available.Baby changing is available in the disabled loo via a radar key or from the bar.If you want Weatherspoons value for money and much cheapness its hard to beat,If you want fine dining head down to Artisan (go with an empty stomach mind you as they do ginormous portions)Hi Keith, thanks for your great review, I'm glad your enjoying our new burger range.look forward to seeing you soon.Kind RegardsScott

Bought Groupon deal 3courses for 2 people £16.50. Choice was good for price. Starters were lovely, steak pie delious tho could have been warmer, my fish was not cooked so sent it back, sadly was put off tho offered me replacement, took macaroni cheese instead, this was nice, puddings were yummy, yes place could do with an upgrade and good scrub, not sure would take child in tho as swearing by drunken men at bar. Would i go back , possibly. For price paid can't really moan too much.

the Cherry tree is now under new management. We opened in December 2016 following a massive refurbishment. We serve meals 7 days a week and have live entertainment on every Saturday night
New chef is excellent, I had lunch with my mum and sister and both of them cleared their plates which is very unusual, I requested half a portion for my mum as she hasnât been eating lately and I was so pleased that she ate every morsel. I then had home made soup with my husband and it was delicious, I especially loved the really nice bread it was served with instead of those really hard rolls. Looking forward to going back, especially look forward to the new menu Thankyou so much for your wonderful review. Look forward to seeing you again
