Best burgers in Wilmington
It's off the beaten path for sure. Smaller place and limited seating. My husband had the burger with slaw and chilli and sweet potatoe fries. I had the burger with mushrooms and onions with cajun fries. Little too much cajun seasoning for my personal taste and all the burger meat comes at the same temp. (Like rare, medium rare, etc) the burgers where juicy and flavorful. Very good, but I think I've had better "craft burgers" at other places in Wilmington. Friendly staff and they do have some alcohol to choose from.

Stopped in for pizza based on recent reviews and was disappointed. Pizza was just average. The pizza menu was quite large but we ordered a large plain cheese pizza, our favorite. The crust was thin, but brushed with a garlic oil and not tasty. The sauce was not fresh at all, tasted like a can sauce and was way too thick. Cheese was fine.We tasted other local pizza in Wilmington and know that this style is not the norm. The location is more of a pub gathering spot then restaurant.

Wasn't sure about this place looking from the outside, but my advice is open the door! Very comfortable and welcoming inside. Waitress was attentive, and efficient. We visited for lunch, and had a combination of sandwiches and ribs. Everything was very good. the restaurant also validates parking at the cotton exchange car park which is an added bonus. Very good

Beer Barrio is a craft beer-infused modern Mexican restaurant. It has 30 beers on draft, delicious margaritas and creative chef-driven cuisine. Beer Barrio was founded by NYC restaurant industry vets/husband and wife team Stephen Durley and Hayley Jensen.
Staying in Wilmington for a few days and surprised by the large number of Mexican restaurants so decided to try Beer Barrio, very good fresh quality Mexican food. The restaurant gets crowded with the young locals and we managed to get a table for the 2 of us.The restaurant provides a free serving of fresh hot tortilla chips and a smooth (not chunky) salsa with each entree. Chips were very good and salsa was not too spicy.I ordered the Pressed Burrito stuffed with Cheddar Jack cheese, smoky black beans, pico de gallo and served with sour cream and guacamole. Excellent dish, fresh and heated slightly. Partner ordered the Quesadillas served with melted Cheddar Jack cheese between 2 flour tortillas with tostada crisp, lettuce, pico de gallo and loved them. Food is so fresh.Service was fine and pricing was quite low considering the local in downtown Wilmington, NC. Nice surprise.

I'm staying in a local hotel in Wilmington, and got done with a really long day of work, for the Visit NC conference in town. Ordered Door Dash from this restaurant, and spent a significant amount of money might I add. I came back to the computer after 30 minutes after I had ordered the food, only to find out that the restaurant had cancelled my order. I have no idea why, but being that I'm hungry, and I had waited some time for the order before realizing this, I'm super irritated with the service, and I would go ahead an say skip ordering Door dash from this establishment. Thanks for making me scramble to find something to eat late at night now. I'll probably end up getting something lousy because of this.

Took the family (3 and 6 year old) here based on ratings online and proximity to our hotel- not disappointed! The food was delicious! We had the stuffed flounder and the chicken pot pie! The kids enjoyed the Mac n cheese and chicken tenders! Our server Nate was on top of our every need and concern! We are on the deck outside and it was clean, not buggy and very peaceful with the kids! We donât get to Wilmington very much, but weâll be sure to visit next time weâre in town.

I have given this place multiple tries in 4 years. Order the same thing every time. Every time it has been wrong. Bbq chicken tenders, fries. Ranch on side. Every single time it has been wrong. Diff sauce on wings, no sauce on side.Rachel I'm sorry this has been your experience. We try to fix any and every mistake on the spot and up until now these mistakes haven't been brought to our attention. Our main priority will always be providing all of our guests with a great dining experience. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at [email protected] so we can be sure this doesn't happen again.

We have been coming to this restaurant since 1999. We have always had the best service and food. The bartender, Ashley, is very attentive and pleasant. Casual and relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place to eat/drink. Very affordable and delicious food! Give this laid back, Caribbean spot a try and you'll be hooked!

Casual environment serving high end bar/pub fare
We stopped in before a visit to the theater. Wait was 30 min, but had 2 seats open up at the bar in 20. The staff was running hard but were always friendly and attentive. Then came the food! Everything was delicious and came out timely, but not too fast as to be on top of the course before it! It was a noisy, busy, fun place with great food and a casual atmosphere! Weâll definitely go back!!
