We stopped in here on a Saturday late afternoon for dinner and the place was quite crowded already. Had some wine, chicken & waffles for one person, and corned beef dinner for the other. Both were delish. Shared a Bev's Delight dessert - hot fudge cream puff. Server was excellent considering how crowded it was.

Took the family here for a good burger and pizza. Maddie our server was very cordial and friendly, especially with the grand kids. For appetizers we enjoyed tasty mozzarella sticks and ultimate nacho french fries (to die for). A couple of the grand kids split a cheese pizza which was right up their alley. Another grand son ordered the salty dog (hot dog with fries) that filled him up. He said it was about the best hot dog he had ever eaten. My hubby ordered a 50/50 hamburger made with 1/2 beef and 1/2 chorizo sausage. He said it was out of this world. All in all my family had a terrific dinner and we would go back in a heart beat. Yes, it is bar food, but GREAT bar food.

The Dover Stout alone is reason enough to walk into Old Nation. Then came the shared appetizers, cherry infused Brussels sprouts and a giant pretzel. But the greatest taste experience for me was the beef pasty! Wow! Such perfect crust, such perfect filling, and to top it off, a half-cup of brown gravy! Too much for one sitting, I took half of it home for lunch the next day. Even the delectable spiced potato chips stayed crisp and fresh. I've been told it's the best pasty south of the Mackinac Bridge. Don't tell anyone from St. Ignace or Mackinaw City, maybe it's better than up north. Everyone in our group needed a carryout container because portions were so generous.

Have had lunch/drinks three times at the Bistro, and just love it. Great appetizers and wonderful food! The menu specials change frequently and are exciting and delicious. Their specialty drinks are also terrific. In addition, the decor and atmosphere make this restaurant a true gem. I am concerned that The Bistro is not getting enough attention/appreciation from potential customers. If you're looking for a delightful time in a place that truly delivers a great experience, the Bistro is the place!

We ate here on Sunday to watch MSU in the basketball tournament. We ordered our pizza right away and it came out quickly, 35 minutes which is the average. We were pleasantly surprised with our waiter and great service. The antipasto salad was a definite upgrade from the last one we got in December. The pizza was great as usual. The place is spacious, however, could use a good cleaning as the table and floor were sticky.
