We went for a light dinner. My wife had the beet salad and loved the warmed beets and the crisp greens. I had the Rueben sandwich with shoestring fries. Both were great. A wonderful selection of beers on tap at least 30 and many very unique. I had a nice Celebration IPA and really liked it. Definitely will return.

Went there for my brother in laws 40th birthday party Saturday the 9th. Long way for me in Taylor, but wanted to celebrate with him. I had their Gimlet which was satisfying and a buffalo chicken sandwich. It is a nice place good food, pretty basic pub food but worth going to if i was in the area. Service was pretty good, and food everyone got recieved compliments. So won't drive from Taylor up there but if i am visiting family and friends will be my suggestion to go to. Nicely done.Hi Starkewinter,We appreciate you making the trip from downriver, up to see us! Might be highly rated as best around, but the BBQ was some of the most tasteless I have ever had. While prepared well, totally lacked in seasoning.I had the tasting plate, brisket, pulled pork and sausage - the sausage was the best thing on the plate - sides smoked mac and cheese - no smoke, collard greens were decent, but not great. Place was packed inside and out - I don't get the attraction?

After spending 3 hours driving back home and missing out on breakfast and lunch I felt it was appropriate to treat my wife with a nice afternoon meal. Weâve noticed that this Applebeeâs location is usually very busy. And, as we discovered, for good reason. We were treated like royalty from the moment we approached the front door. We were seated quickly and our waitress, Myia did a great job of making suggestions and taking care of the two of us. Thanks Myia! It was a great way to wind down our day and enjoy a great dinner.

My wife and I were here for lunch on a beautiful Memorial Day and, not surprisingly, the place was busy and noisy. There was an interesting mix of clientele: young people, boaters, families, bikers and seniors like us. Service was good considering the business of the place. The food was your run of the mill bar food. I had fish and chips which was a very generous portion (3 pieces) but not crispy, a bit soggy and oily. I also had a side of guacamole which was good but not great. I would have liked a few chips with it but you would have to order a whole bowl, so I didn't bother. My wife had the calamari strips which were OK.

Had an early dinner and it was great. We tried Yankee Pot Roast and Jambalaya Both were great Too many places think Cajun means burn your mouth. These people understand spicy with some heat but not overwhelming. The service was excellant. The portions were quite adequate. We will return.

Awesome place to eat, food is excellent and know they opened a second restaurant in Walled Lake, my wife had my 50th Birthday at the new location. The ribs and chicken strips were gone so fast.Nothing but compliments on the food from everyone. Superbly one of the best restaurants around.

Not a regular, occasional visitor. Being solo, sit at the bar and have dinner. Same female bartender as always, and boy, what a downer it can be. No life, no personality, and seemed to be such a chore to serve you. This has been the same whenever she works. Going to ask for a table next time, if I ever return. Good food only goes so far. Ownership, think about a change. Not the only one who has the same opinion who my frequent the bar.
