A SECRET PLACE TO LOUNGE... The FireRock Lounge is the perfect place to kick back and relax with a great cocktail, craft beer, and a delicious plate of appies. Located in The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler, it's a hidden gem just off the beaten path that b
My wife and I went to whistler for a fun relaxing weekend and on the first night after checking in at the Westin we stopped in at the Firerock. Im always interested in trying new food and drinks and all of the bartenders where very skilled in a wide variety of drinks. Mitch and Sam where both very friendly and they make some awesome cocktails. If you are looking for some interesting shots Chad will make that happen (and they always taste delicious). Denise was fantastic at suggesting/ making interesting drinks that most people havenât heard of and there wasnât a single one that disappointed. On top of the great staff that serves the best drinks around, the firerock has a great group of waitresses and the lounge is run by a great manager, you can tell that everyone there enjoys going to work. Thank you for the great time, we canât wait to come back.Hi Ryan,Thank you so much for the glowing review!I'm thrilled that you and your wife had such a great time. We've just released our Summer cocktail menu, so you will have to come and see us again soon.Take care,Anthony

My husband I came here for dinner after a day spent hiking. We were both very hungry, so this was definitely the right spot! Nashville hot chicken and waffles were outstanding, and our Stonesedge burgers with sin fries did not disappoint. The âbacon jamâ was more onions than bacon but everything was still delicious! Great place if you are looking for good quality pub type food. Drinks are a bit pricey ($25 for a Manhattan!).Hi LeeAnn,Thanks for your kind words, and we're glad our post hike meal hit the spot! Our Stonesedge burgers are one of our staples so we're happy you enjoyed them. Although some of our more extravagant cocktails are expensive, we have some more affordable options as well like our house wines and BC craft beers on tap. We look forward to hosting you in the future

This recently renovated landmark location in the centre of the main Whistler Village stroll is the perfect spot to sit back and watch the world go by. Now offering a fresh new menu that is complimented by a wide assortment of regional craft beers on tap a
We got an excellent patio table at this very busy restaurant upon arrival in Whistler. We both had very good draft beers from an excellent listing of local and other selections. We both had excellent hamburgers which were large and flavorful. I opted for the truffle fries as a substitute and was a little disappointed that they were dry and flavor not on all fries. It was overall a good experience and we were disappointed they were closed due to a computer failure when we went back for another lunch.DaveG873, Thanks for joining us at the Beacon and thanks also for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed yourselves and yes - we did have a technical issue that resulted in holding up our opening last week which has since been resolved. We will be sure to take a look at the fries as well, thank you for sharing this with us! We hope you have enjoyed your time in Whistler, Michael G. Director of Food & Beverage

Whistler's eatery and taphouse for locally crafted food and beer
Took the family of 5 there and tried a few different items. one had the pulled pork sandwich, one had the Shawarma and three of us shared the small platter. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the platter for 2 was more than enough for three people. The platter for 4 looked pretty hearty some come hungry if you are going to try that one. Also tried a flight of beer and all 4 were good. You get 4 samplers for $10.We went a little earlier (6:00 pm) and by time we left, there was a line up. Hi Darren, so glad to hear you enjoyed Hunter Gather with your family. Thanks very much! Hilarie

Our first problem was the access. I was unable to manage large flights of stairs and there was no elevator. The receptionist phoned up to the restaurant and one of the waitresses came to escort us up through the hotel. She was given an access card so we could access the elevator. We then went across and through the spa, across the roof area, past the pool and through the emergency exit. What a palaver. We were told they hoped to have direct access by next year.We had steak and shrimp, ribs and chicken and pistachio encrusted salmon between the three of us. It was magnificent. No room for anything else but the meal was very good.

We chose Earls as it seemed to have a menu more suited to us.It wasn't overly busy when we went in and there were numerous empty tables but there was a 10 minute wait for the table which we agreed to.When we were seated we looked around and realised that nobody had any food so we knew we were in for a wait! The service was and continued to be slow and considering this is off peak, they will have a problem when the peak season arrives of they don't improve. There were lots of staff running around but seemingly without purpose, the table next to is asked for an extra glass and as we left twenty minutes later they still didn't have one and put their bubbly in a water glass! The rating I gave would have been a three however, because the food when it finally arrived was good, I have given it a four. The sirloin cabernet jus was lovely.I think there needs to be someone visibly in charge giving direction and orchestrating the staff better. We weren't offered any more drinks or dessert when the waitress cleared our plates which was disappointing so of it wasn't for the food it would have been really poor. Hi Squazle. Thanks for taking the time to review us. Could you email me at [email protected] to discuss more about your recent experience with us? I'd love to hear more about your perception of ongoings here. Thanks again!

I was here twice on the same weekend with different people. We really enjoyed the live music offered every night. The service was better one night than the other. We only had drinks and tried their chocolate but could see others enjoying food here as well. Only certain areas/seats can you see the performer. Dear Where_to_travel_nextThank you for taking the time to share your review with us. It is great to hear you enjoyed dining with us in The Mallard Lounge. We actually ate here two nights in a row! We had excellent service both nights, and took advantage of house specials. The Sunday roast with potatoes, gravy and veggies was yummy. The Monday night fish and chips (two for the price of one) was fabulous!
