Check out Monday nights, super musicians from 5:30 on playing a number of traditional Irish airs and tunes. We enjoyed the music while sipping a very good Fiddlehead IPA on draft and quite decent martinis. Our table split two orders of haddock bites which were light and crispy, the fish lovely and mild. Pronounced more than quite acceptable by our Scottish fisherman. We ladies split a delightful Reuben, the men folk ordered steak tips and surf n turf, our sisters ordered salads and a veggie quesadilla and split those. The salad girls kept on filching our crunchy, delightful French fries.I like the Snug, it is a small, homely place with the warm welcome of a good Irish or Scottish pub, forward thinking with its beer selection and great food. The bathroom is clean and there is entertainment several nights a week.Highly recommended if you are on the South Shore.

Don't be fooled by the front of the building. It looks like a dive. Inside everything looks fresh, clean and welcoming. The walls are decorated "eclectically" with police department shoulder patches from, I would guess, more that 200 departments. Also very noticeable are goofy plaques, many of which are worth reading. If you are a beer lover, they have a good selection of drafts, and a huuugge selection of bottles. The service was excellent. Bar pizza is overpriced and average. Chicken Teriaki is a good sized order, with big plump wings. Problem, they are way too salty.

This restaurant gets good buzz, and since we would be in the area...AND the lunch menu had the regular lunch fare and also entrees...which isnât always the case we were looking forward to trying it.They did a decent job inside. It is not plush but rather pub/everyday comfortable, which I think was most likely the intend..a large bar, some high top tables and your more standard seating. Unfortunately the food was average. We ordered a chicken parm sandwich which came with fries. It was standard, nothing memorable. We also ordered the roasted cod,on a bed of spinach with the smallest of kick of spice, roasted tomatoes and black olives, and a dash of arugula on top which was a good compliment. Presentation was nice... the cod did not have much flavor (they should have added more capers) there is no salt on the table which isnât unusual at better restaurants and I am sure I could have asked. I myself buy cod and notice the fresh cod I buy at from Iceland while visually looks wonderful tends to have no taste...yet when I purchase from other countries (of course USA is the best cod) flavor is not an issue. You should not have to use an abundance of salt or any other seasoning to achieve great flavor on a quality product. All that said I ate the whole dish... I just expected more from this restaurant. The server/bartender Joe was extremely likable and we experienced great service... In fact, Joe was the best part of our visit.

The atmosphere is simple, like eating with your own family and friends. The food is perfect and so tasty, the service is quick and everyone is polite and funny. The regulars seem to get hugs from the staff and everything just seems to flow so nicely in the kitchen. I was here two years ago with friends and family and everything I like about this restaurant has remained the same and I love this so much in my eating experience; consistency in service and good food is everything in a good dining experience!

Located in The Derby Street Shoppes on Hingham's Route 53 (exit 15 off of Rte 3), Burtons Grill - Hingham is ideal for shoppers and locals, for power lunching or socialising after work. Celebrate something special or enjoy fine wine with appetisers in the
Use to visit Burtons at least once a month but now unfortunately it's only once a year. It's always very good with very creative specials. Regular menu has all the grill items you would want. Service is always pleasant and very professional. It appears they have remodeled recently and it looks great. Dont pass by a burtons. Might be a little pricey for some but worth it.

Dropped in on a Tuesday for a late lunch early dinner. We ordered the delicious hot crab dip, I recommend to everyone. A favorite at my table. One friend ordered the fish tacos, they were excellent. I ordered the crab cakes, they were tasty, however not plated in an appealing manner. The other people at the table ordered the steak tip salad, it was perfectly plated, cooked and seasoned properly. Another order was the Jumbo shrimp cocktail I do not recommend. It was not freshly cooked, it was like rubber and we sent it back. The server we had was excellent a very astute young man whom relocated from Florida.

I went here with my family with no expectations and not sure what to expect. In the end, we all agreed that the burgers were GREAT. We all had different burgers - the "Smahlburger" for the child (recommended!) - and they were very tasty all around. The fries also had a nice flavor to them. If you're in the mood for a burger, I would definitely recommended this place. Not inexpensive, but worth it for a treat. Grade: A.

Came here to celebrate the life of a close relative. Having visited two other Hines locations I was looking forward to dining here ! Service was exceptional, food was very original and also very good, and I found a reasonable ($8.00) white wine that, although not expensive, went well with the meal. Desert ? Huge ! Stoli Cosmo ? Perfect ! Music provided was fitting with Toni Lyn Washington on vocals.....

It's been awhile since I dined at Stockholder's, but I was there a few days ago for lunch., Again, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The broiled schrod is my favorite and didn't disappoint. It is always fresh, and accompanied by butternut squash and cole slaw, it is my perfect meal. My husband had the turkey club which he enjoyed. Prices are reasonable, and food is always tasty. This is a great place for lunch. We will have to try it for dinner sometime.
