We stopped by during the week to see this restaurant and knew we would definitely return for dinner. Dining on the porch looking out at the Shawangunk mountains was delightful and reminded us of dining in northern Italy at similar scenes. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were scrumptious and both ordered the short ribs which melted in our mouths and were so flavorful served with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. We will definitely recommend and return especially during the fall to enjoy this excellent restaurant.

Our friends eat Garrisons quite often and always recommend it. We decided to try it for lunch. The service was very good, the food was great, portions were large (took a doggy bag home). Our waitress was very pleasant and very helpful. One of our group had a dietary restriction and it was handled. Our salads were very fresh. The salmon was great. The New England Clam Chowder was so good!. We will be back!

My husband and I came for dinner with another couple. Waitress was not friendly and food was subpar - to acceptable - nothing was great. My husband got a steak and it was tough and sinewy and not cooked as he had requested. The waitress never brought steak sauce and he had to go to another table to get some. Service was slow and it was not a super busy time. We were disappointed and don't plan to go back.

We offer small plates that can be NOSH or stacked up to make a delicious meal. All food and drinks are as local as possible depending on seasonality and availability. Menu changes daily but will have certain popular main stays.
If you like unique cocktails, this is the place for you. Zoli and staff can offer you plenty of interesting menu options, but youâll be impressed with his mixology talents if you just pick a liquor you like to get him started.Donât be afraid to bring the kids. The food is very good and he can offer plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, including his famous color changing lemonade. This is a relaxed atmosphere, so donât expect the bar to be spitting out rail drinks by the fist full. Go when youâre not in a rush and enjoy the show at the bar.

We stopped in here, sat at the bar, to start our Sunday Funday and we were not disappointed. Starting w/ the âweekender cocktailsâ, to the small plates and wine, all were excellent. I had lamb sausage and buffalo wings, both savory & cooked to perfection. The wife had the fish tacos and deviled eggs, equally delicious & exquisitely presented. Canât wait to go back and indulge in the full brunch menu!

We had our first visit here recently. The location is a bit odd, but once you find it you will be pleasantly surprised. The first appearance is very upscale and modern chic. It looks like it belongs on the Newburgh waterfront. The menu is small but sufficient and varied. The service was prompt and pleasant and attentive (but it was a slow night). The food was good. The sushi was also good. The prices for entrees were a little high for the location and portion size, but the taste and presentation was nice. We will likely return as it is a nice change of pace from the 4 pizza places and 3 Chinese restaurants. Perhaps even to try the Sunday brunch. This would make a great location for a small party venue for a rehearsal dinner, wedding or baby shower, or other small event. The bar is a good size and the atmosphere intimate but accommodating.

Conveniently located in scenic Montgomery, NY on Ward Street, this restored old-world inn offers the unbelievable ambiance of a classic country inn. The Pskowskiâs saw potential in the old building on Ward Street, and dreamed of a welcoming, quality resta
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner last night and we had exceptional service. As first time visitors, our server Courtney answered our questions thoroughly and with an extensive knowledge of all menu offerings. She happily accommodated our tables dietary needs. We will definitely return!

My wife and I visited one snowy Friday evening. They do not have a parking lot and there is very little street parking so we had to park 3 blocks away. Atmosphere is typical Irish-American bar/pub. Reasonably friendly staff but there appeared to only 2 servers for the entire dining room. That resulted in slow, unattentive service. Lacking was the typical Irish music and dancing.Drinks. I love Guinness beer.. IN IRELAND. Never found it good here in the States. But, this IS promoted as an "Authentic" Irish pub, so I asked the server how they pull the Guinness. She promised that they "do it right. The owner insists on it." Okay, I'll try it. (I was encouraged by the fact that she understood what I meant by "pull"!) And, when it arrived an appropriate 5 minutes later, it did appear that they pulled it properly. That was the good news. The bad news is that it tasted like Guinness that had crossed a wide ocean. The flavor and texture wasn't quite right. Not horrible but not good either. My son's rule has proven true again: Never drink a Guinness outside of Ireland! My second beer order was Smithwicks (pronounced "Smit'-icks")The food. I ordered the Rueben sandwich. It was very good. On the small side but the small portion of corned beef was very tender and tasty. The French fries were good.My wife ordered the roast beef sandwich. She asked the server if the beef was tender and she said it was. I guess it's a matter of taste but my wife said it was not at all tender. She would not order it again. If the roast beef were better Sweeney's would have earned 4 stars rather than 3. I would probably return and try some other meals... But not the Guinness.

ordered the pretzel appetizer that came with a dip that tasted like cheez wiz. The chicken fingers for children was over fried and hard like a rock. The chicken panini sandwich turned out to be a flat bread with flat tasteless chicken. Our waiter kept telling us they were out of everything because the restaurant was so busy the night before.Sorry to hear you are unhappy with your meal. The fact that the waiter was telling you we were busy the day before tells you something. We have many happy and satisfied return customers who are always commenting on the food and complimenting it. Hopefully you'll come back again I will have an opportunity to prove to you how good our food and service is. In the meantime I apologize

Whether you're looking for a place to gather with friends, or a romantic cozy setting, Nu Cavu is the perfect place. Come sit by the fire in our large rustic dining room, or enjoy the sunset on our beautiful patio.
I stopped in for a couple of beers and appetizers. I had the mussels and steamed clams. The clams and steamers were cooked to perfection. They give you very large portions. The NU CAVU has a dining area, outside area and a full bar. There is something here for everyone. You can also see the airport runway and an occasional airplane or helicopter.
