Went to dinner there recently with a friend....no reservations turn up sign in ...wait for a table...actually although they were really busy it wasnât that long a wait. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were attentive and friendly. They do have tendency to sell out of their most popular dishes although they had everything we ordered :-) It was an experience I will take again :-)

It was very pleasant sitting here at night after the sunset (you can't really see the sunset unobstructed from here as there is a footpath in front of the restaurant and people stop there to take pictures). Cool breeze. Drinks were good. The hummus was excellent as were the burgers we enjoyed. The lilikoi sorbet was very good!Mahalo Maggie for dining with us at Hale Kai! Nice restaurant and bar on the best hotel in South Kohala. Live music and hula performance. Beautiful view. Our favorite salad is the Butter Lettuce. My favorite dish is the Seared Hokaido Scallops. Hubbyâs favorite is the Paniolo Cattle Co. Grass Fed Burger. And our favorite dessert is the malasadas - a must try!
