Gumbo is amazing - dark roux and lots of shrimp. I ordered the large salad with oranges, pecans, etc. and split a bowl of gumbo with my husband. No need to order grilled shrimp on the salad because the gumbo was full of goodies!

We went there yesterday, there is a good view towards the Mississippi. Food was average, but a bit Salt. The beer was served in a bottle, one had to ask for a Class.

The Pilot House Restaurant in Natchez sits high on the bluff, overlooking the Mississippi River in the Hotel Vue. Choose a speciality cocktail in our lounge, then dine with a water view and enjoy the areas best seafood, beef, pasta, pork, poultry and dese
We really wanted fried chicken and a server at another restaurant recommended the Pilot House. The menu offered 3 pieces of chicken, rice with gravy and green beans. Sounded like a winner to us. The chicken was quite good, crispy, flavorful and hot. The two sides were pretty terrible. The brown gravy on the rice had absolutely no taste. Even Franco-American beef gravy has some flavor. The green beans were obviously canned French-style green beans. The cook added some salt pork and then cooked the you know what out of them until they were a gross gray-green color. For dessert we had the Pecan pie and it was good, warm, gooey and served with a scoop of praline ice cream. The ambiance is nice and the view of the river is really lovely.

We had read about this restaurant and then tossed up between it and one on the river but there was no parking and this menu looked amazing - we weren't wrong. Our waitress was fantastic (April???) and the singer was outrageously fabulous - he sang all our songs and really made our time in Natchez more enjoyable. We chose an oyster poboyvbecause we had never had them, mushroom on a beignet and Mini Muffalettos which were thinly sliced ham, swiss, salami & provolone baked in French bread with an olive - caper dressing - all were amazing and I wish we had been able to go back another night to try out their other southern specialities. She brought us the best biscuits served with apricot butter - I have always been sceptical about biscuits as we have had the worst ever at different places - however these were light and fluffy inside and crisp outside - delicious and changed my view of them! Real southern with cocktails, music and biscuits!! Loved it!

Historic King's Tavern circa 1789 as seen on Ghost Adventurers and Travel Channel. Wood fired oven with steak, fresh fish and pizza's. Craft Cocktails - some of the best in the country. Also tour the Charboneau Rum Distillery next door. Ourdoor dining
The food and beverages were delightful! Dined on tasty flatbreads...a muffuletta one and a brisket. Both delicious. Also had the chicken pot pie that was great! Washed it down with a very refreshing Spring Fling made with the Charboneau Rum distilled next door. A wonderful choice on many levels...good friendly service, great food and drink, and a super old tavern to enjoy it in!!

Really one of best sandwiches I've had. It was new on the menu. The chicken covered my plate outside of the bun. That along with fresh cut fries and it was a great lunch.
