Things to do in Umea

The number of flat screens in this sports restaurant are good for an epilepsy attack. The chicken wings and burgers are not bad.

This is the place to be when it's nice sunny, situated "on a boat" in the Umeå river. It have a pub service, as you go to the bar and order and pay for the meal and drinks, and then they deliver it to your table. No problems. The food is quite simple but quite good and good for a grub and a pint. This time we had pizza from the wood oven, pizzas with local ingredients like reindeer. The staff can be very unlike from very lovely to grumpy. Open all day from 12-12 or something like that.
In the basement of UmeÃ¥s old town hall, youâll find the pub Radhuskällaren. The pub offers street food and has en extremely wide range of craft beer. Radhuskällaren has both become famous among beerlovers and awarded with the national price White Guides t
This place just recently opened. You find it in the basement of Umea city hall. They have well over 100 different beers to choose from, the vast majority only available on bottle. The selection of beers is what I find most impressive about this place and I will definitely return just to try some of the more exotic beers they offer. The dishes are tapas-sized and nothing for people who are interested to down a real meal. The dishes are more the size of tasting samples. You order everything at the bar, which is situated at the foot of the stairs leading down to the restaurant so impossible to miss. When we were there on a Monday two weeks ago it was pretty quiet. In summary, this should be an excellent start for a round of bars when drink quality still matters.

The Pipes of Scotland is a local friendly bar located in the centre of Umea. We serve a mix combination of pub food and combine this with a large variation of beers and drinks. We also deliever and live Music.
I hate going to British stuff abroad but we arrived late to Hotel Aveny and this was accessible from indoors so we went. A great find! Friendly service, great choice of food and drinks (even had two vegan options - the crispy mushroom noodle dish was fab), and really lively. You might struggle to get a table at times or when stuff is on - eg we stayed for the Pop Quiz, which was fantastic, music-based, free to enter, and the questions are written down so you can get by with imperfect Swedish! The place was packed for it, with people sat on the floor too. But it was a great place, so I understand that. Pricy, but no pricier than any other bar/pub in Sweden!Hello Spiky7!Thank You for Your nice review! We are glad to hear that You enjoyed our service and our fine selection of food and drinks. It's also pleasant to hear that You enjoyed our vegan dishes on the menu. The Pop Quiz is very popular so we try to find as many solutions possible for people to be able to participate - and sometimes the floor is the best solution at the time. You are very welcome back to our pub if you're around Umeå another time!

Very expensive food with little to no service you have to order your food through an App and I am not being biased here as the resturant has little overheads considering it is all self serve we ordered buffalo wings which weren't even buffalo wings and roughly paid $8 AUD for 2 of the tiniest wings I have ever seen. It should be noted all the food was cold. I was left scratching my head at the end of what was close to a $100 AUD meal trying to figure out how they justify such costs. People go grab thier own food and I seen some lady prodding mine asking if it was hers. Yes her fingers were in my food. It seems they try to justify this cost by making it circus themed. Don't believe the hype. Perhaps some have had different experiences than I but all in all it was very dissapointing. But that is to be expected feom a franchise.Mind you the staff are really nice, they forgot something off my order and a waitress or hostess was really helpful considering I speak little to no Svensk. All the above are facts based on my experience.

Rex Brasserie opened its door 1996 and has since become a dear institution in Umeå. With the soul of France and the heart of the North, we cook food according to seasons and take care of the raw ingrediens each season has to offer. With a focus on local w
A family dinner. Well, for myself everything was very nice. 4-course surprise sharing meny was tasty and same time innovative and traditional. Some of party didn't like all ingredients but that's life. I did enjoy all. Kids meny is a bit limited. They get all portions at half price but would be good to have something easy going kids food too. The restaurant was pretty full but in relation to that service timing was ok. This isn't quick food restaurant so the service is accordingly (not slow but..). The best: tastes. The second best: the surroundings and service. I recommend this.

Great meal. Freshly cooked, battered haddock and large chunky fries, with a large side salad and sauces. My husband had sausages and mash and my son a beef curry. All the meals were freshly cooked and delicious. Everyone really loved what they got. A good selection of beers and ciders too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Juliette is UmeÃ¥âs oasis and cocktailbar for grown ups with a sophisticated atmosphere inspired by the beautiful 1920âs. Juliette the best place to start the evening, why not with a Toast Skagen and a glass of champagne or end with a dessert or a good coc
I dined at the Rex on a business trip and I am very impressed with the level of service, cuisine and environment. Very friendly and nice environment, good service and the food is really tasty. French Brasserie style with all the classics and I really want to come back and recommend you visiting "Rex" if you are at the nice city of Umeå up in the northern part of Sweden.//Mats Samaras, Stockholm, Sweden

Restaurant Angelini serves a mix of American and new Italian cousine.
Came here with 2 other couples. Half of us were Vegetarian and some had had a late lunch so weren't very hungry. While the menu was a bit restricted, but looked good, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They offered some off the menu vegetarian options and even obliged by bringing portions to share. The extra touch was that they brought extra plates for each dish so the sharers didn't mix their dishes and spoil the flavours!! The food was fantastic!!! the vegetarians loved the pasta and the mushroom risotto balls. The carnivores had the entrecôte that was superbly cooked and tasted heavenly.Overall a fabulous experience - highly recommended.Thank you so much for the kind words.Sincerely Mattias Lindberg
