I thought the atmosphere at Central Mesa was nice & conducive to having a visit with an old friend. We were there for her birthday.Music was playing at an appropriate level;you could hear it but it didn't drown out your conversation. The food & drinks were average, although we had an awesome waitress.I was a little disappointed in the menu & food as I was hoping for more of a variety, especially some items that didn't contain all meat & drinks made with fresh juices. Salsa was served cold right out of refrigerator . I like mine room temp. or warm. I thought the entrees were a little over-priced,but you did get a generous portion. My friend said the sangria was very good.I would be willing to give it another go just because I liked the atmosphere.this was during the week so don't know what it's like on the weekends!

Your local BurgerFi isnât some industrialized fast food giant. They were started in a gourmet kitchen, by gourmet Chefs. Not knowing fast food, the back of the house is built to be less burger joint, more five-star restaurant. When they needed a sauce, th
We didn't have time to go into the restaurant to eat so we ordered our food from the app and we picked it up from the store. The app was easy to use and even gave me free fries on my first purchase. There is a rewards program through the app. The food was prepared just as we had ordered. It was quickly prepared and available for pick up. It was very tasty.Thank you for stopping in! We hope to serve you again soon. :)Warm Regards,Ty M.Customer Care

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, to
First time in Tuscaloosa. We walked over to this place form our hotel and were not disappointed we did. Food was fresh and very good. Service was excellent. Portions were a decent size and priced right. We were glad to have found this place so close to our hotel. A good meal is always pleasant after a day of driving!

My girlfriend and I went here for a nice wine pairing dinner earlier this week. I have to admit, the entire evening greatly exceeded my expectations. Iâve always been impressed with the decor of this place, but the decor, the weather, the food, the service and the wine all came together for a truly great evening. The chef really out did himself in many different ways. The fried chicken, the fried Boudin, the smoked quail, and the various sides, were all perfectly cooked. The only part of the dinner that couldâve used a little more time on the grill was the lamb lollipop. The flavor was good, but in my opinion, couldâve been cooked longer, at low indirect heat, still maintained the rare temperature, which wouldâve made it melt in your mouth. Either way, the overall dinner was a huge success. And the Cliff Lede and FEL wines paired with each course were perfect as well. Speaking of the wines, I am not a big fan of white wine. However, I must admit the Sauvignon Blanc was better than Iâve ever had. Good job Mr. Henson. Thank you so much for the review! I was lucky enough to be on the guest side and I agree with all that you mentioned! It means a lot to hear the kind words of encouragement especially when you saw all the preparation and thought put into the dinner. Hopefully youll come back during the summer! Hoping to have a few more wine dinners and events soon!

We were in Tuscaloosa on a college visit with my daughter checking out the University of Alabama and stopped by on a whim. Nice selection of craft beers brewed on-site. They also have a great non-alcoholic root beer for the young ones. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly as well. Great place to get a great beer if you are in Tuscaloosa

Had the privilege of having an amazing dining experience for two days in a row. I canât express how amazing the food was. Beyond the food the service was beyond hospitable. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable and extremely courteous. The manager came to see how things were going and ended up being one of the nicest people around. The server was Jackie Lake and the manager was Yaseria Woods. Jackie was training an amazing apprentice Jason who was extremely helpful and really attentive. I look forward to coming back many more times. Thanks for the great service and amazing food.

There's a good reason Five Bar is a top restaurant in T-Town....the food, the service, the drinks, and the atmosphere. It's everything you could possibly want from a bar / restaurant in a university town. The special drinks were with fresh muddled strawberries, not cheap strawberry flavor. The other special drinks were fresh and really good. I don't normally order special drinks because I find them mostly disappointing, but these were really good, and I will order them again. The service was outstanding....obviously students intent on making a good impression for the U of A, as they did.

We stopped in for lunch with our daughter while visiting. We had decent service and the food was good. Glad they had a veggie burger. Beer was cold! The place is what you would expect from a college town.

My fiance and I ate dinner there this afternoon and our experience was amazing! Kaitlyn, our server was exceptional. She's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be back soon! And we will always ask for Kaitlyn to be our server. The food was incredible. We had the Royal Reds and the Redfish. The sweet potato cream burle was awesome. Also had the bloody marys with a oyster in the bottom of the glass! Everything was great. Kaitlyn was the best part of our experience. We are looking forward to returning to Halfshell very soon.
A Rooftop Bar in Tuscaloosa with Stunning Views. The Lookout is a bar unlike any other in Tuscaloosa, AL. It stands as the only rooftop bar in the city, with indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking the majestic Black Warrior River. Thirsty patrons looking
Tuscaloosa, AL is a wonderful large small southern city (or alternately a small large southern town), with a distinct college town flavor. It is blessed with lots of natural beauty including the foliage (it's called the Druid City because of all of the oak trees) and a great river view. Unfortunately not many of the local restaurants or bars take advantage of this view. The Lookout is almost ther only one that does. Located atop the Indigo Hotel (reviewed previously separately) it offers the absolutely best views of the river, bridges and sunset in Tuscaloosa. For that it is without equal. Unfortunately the food and drinks the Lookout are, at best, just average. The food tastes ok, but it is barely more than pub food and certainly not really anything I would recommend for a full meal. It is also WAY overpriced (at least for ther quality and quantity of food you receive). I absolutely hate that fact. I SO want this place to succeed. With the view and potential it has it could be as GREAT place. Unfortunately, the execution leaves a lot lacking. In full disclosure, it probably is more like a 3.5, but forced to choose, I would rather rate it a 3 in hopes that they will step up their game.
