Reviews on Bar food in The Valley, Caribbean. The Valley is the capital of the British territory of Anguilla, and part of the Antilles Islands. A favorite vacation spot of water lovers, Anguilla is a popular destination for wreck diving, snorkeling, or parasailing. The historic district of The Valley is full of old-style wood houses, including the Wallblake House, one of the only surviving plantation houses in the Caribbean. The ruins of the Old Prison are at the highest point in Anguilla, and provide stunning views of the bright blue sea.

We visited Gwen's for a late lunch on a weekday in May of 2019. Restaurant was not crowded. Service was friendly, drinks were cold and the food (chicken and ribs) was good. Well worth the visit. We will return on our next trip to Anguilla.Gwen's is located on an excellent beach. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a few drinks along with your meal.Gwen's does have parking available but the driveway to the parking lot is a steep, downhill ride over a pot hole filled road. Easily done in a small rental car if going slow.

This is a cute little beach shack right on Scilly Cay where you can people watch with a cold beverage. Nice menu with a variety of items. I ordered the fish bites which had a different light and tasty coating. Served with a delicious tartar/curry(?) sauce. Service was fast and very polite and friendly. A word of note: there is a public bathroom available. When we were there toilets was not flushing and hand sanitizer was needed. New to my reviews -- I am going to start adding a "Hair Count". I absolutely hate to find a hair in my food but it seems like I am always a lucky recipient of one no matter whether I am in my local area or away. Hair Count: 1 on french fry

A short walk from Zemi, you'll find a great lunch spot in the Tropical Sunset. Best rice and beans I've had to date and the jerk chicken was very tasty as well. The food was served with alacrity and the prices were fair. Thank you for your review Steven. It was our pleasure having you dine with us. We look forward to serving you again in the not too distant future.

We actually went to Royâs twice in the same week. We had burgers the first night, which were huge and very good. We returned later in the week on Anguilla Day and tried the lobster pasta dish and the fish & chips made with snapper. Both were excellent and the service was very attentive. I will return to Royâs when I visit Anguilla. Thanks for joining us! Weâre happy you enjoyed your visits with us and look forward to welcoming you back!

Our family of four ate here for dinner, and overall, it was good.Food - everyone was very satisfied with our food. My wife ordered a taco salad, my son had a chicken burrito, my daughter had a fish taco and I had a jerk chicken burrito bowl. Specifically my bowl seemed small but the taste was good.Service - we were greeted immediately by the owner and two servers and taken very well care of until the owner left the property. Once he left, so did our servers! We were interested in getting another drink and dessert, but we think they were hanging out in the kitchen since the owner was gone. Very frustrating - eventually I had to ask another server for our bill and we left.Drinks - the drinks were excellent and well made. My suggestion - accept this place for what it is - a bar that serves great drinks, a fun location to be at with friends that also serves food. It would have been a better experience if not for the disappearing servers.

Sandbar is located on the beach in Sandy Ground, one of the most charming fishing villages in the Caribbean and the "sea and sand" theme of the bar envelopes you as you enter. Lots of natural light, unobstructed views of Road Bay with its myriad boats at
We always try to make a SandBar visit when on the island. The food was as good as, or even better, than in the past (although plates are now $10 - $15+) - - we tried 6-8 and enjoyed all of them. Drink prices somewhat reasonable. Great frozen rum punch. Service was terrific. Great location and atmosphere (go at sunset). And the owners are very cordial and friendly.

Watch the crystal clear waters wash the sparkling white sands as you enjoy a refreshing cocktail in the comforting shade of your umbrella. SunShine Shack is the place to experience real island vibes in Anguilla, this is paradise! The bar explodes with lif
We spent and excellent day at Sunshine Shack. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the entire staff. They introduced themselves and shook our hands. What nice people. We arrived at 10:30 when they opened and immeditaly placed our lunch order of ribs. We were served around 12:45. They were fantastic. Garvey is a grill master and to be a grill master the process cannot be rushed. I cannot say enough about how kind everyone was. The service was impeccable and everyone is truly warm, kind and friendly. Always checking on us to see if we needed anything. This was our first trip to Anguillla but not our last. SSS will be one of our first stops on our next trip. The lobsters look phenomenal. We will get an order of ribs and one of lobster on our next trip.
