We regularly visit the Bavarian before going to see a movie. We usually just get a couple of entrees and a salad, as their servings are generous, and I love their calamari and chicken tenders. The service by the young barman/waiter named Arky was excellent.

we have recently enjoyed the octopus entree, although last time it was rather overcooked. Although no longer cheap, the food was good quality and the portions generous. Nice place to eat.

Good area for the kids. Reasonable meals at average prices. It's a pub., but a good open plan light and relaxed one. Parking can be interesting.

A last minute decision for a casual meal with the family and it turned out to be awesome. Itâs probably the quality of the meals that was so impressive, my steak was memorable, the best Iâve had in a long time and followed up with the nut pie. Such a great night...everyone was impressed

Went to the Como Hotel on a Tuesday arvo to catch up with family and have a few drinks. A lovely breeze and ice cold boutique beers out on the verandah. A beautiful quiet old pub with a great view.

We had dinner here last night, and were very disappointed. We were seated at 7.08pm and ignored completely for 20 minutes, so I went to the front desk to ask if we needed to order from them, and was told that they had table service. Went back to the table and we were still ignored for another 15 minutes before our order was taken. We were served our meal at 8.25pm, my husband ordered the ribs and wings special, my son ordered the chicken schnitzel and I ordered oysters. My kilpatrick oysters were made with BBQ sauce and the schnitzel was very small and overcooked. My husband was starving so he ate his wings and ribs but would not order them again. When I went to pay I mentioned that we had waited a long time for our meal, and one of the waitresses responded 'there was a wait, I wouldn't have seated you if you didn't want to wait'! What kind of response is that to a customer who has waited over an hour to be served. My conclusion is that the service level matches the quality of the food. We won't be back.

The Tradies Club at Gymea in the Sutherland Shire is a most accommodating club. There are several bar areas, including a terrific sports bar with comfortable lounges and numerous sporting channels on TV. The bistro had a very good menu and some variety in its daily specials. The service throughout the club was friendly and efficient. The club is very spacious and at no time did it feel closed in and crowded. I enjoyed visiting Tradies and would recommend it.
