Quick summary: a variety of pub dishes, small plates, salads, and sandwiches/burgers. Reasonable prices. Service pretty good, but slow on a night when it was not busy.We stopped by for dinner when traveling through the area. Most mains come with fries/chips or upgrade to a "premium" side for $2. The latter include soup, mac & cheese. side salad, veg of the day, etc. My husband and I split a good mixed green salad ($8.50). I had the shrimp tacos ($16 for two good tacos) and my husband had the half rack of ribs ($15. It came with the kale slaw, which was quite good, and I am REALLY tired of anything with kale.) Both mains were pretty good and tasty. We both upgraded to the mixed vegetables side, which was a sautéed mix of red papers, mushrooms, onions, etc. which were okay, but could have been better with less grease.Full bar with some good selections of wine by the glass (mostly $7 - 11) and beer ($6.)Service was friendly and mostly professional, but I had to chase down our waiter to order second rounds of beer and wine. In a fairly empty restaurant by that time, he was busy chatting at the bar.Reasonable prices all around. So -- not a bad choice, but I'd also think about trying another place in town if we are again by that way.

If I had to spell 'wonderful' I would spell it GRANITECITY! The service was admirable, the food was outstanding, the portions were not skimpy and the alcoholic beverages were delicious! This was our first time here and we loved it. I am sure that if you give it a try you will too!

I've driven by this place on the Ohio Turnpike, Delta exit, countless times. Finally, I decided to stop with a family member for dinner on a Friday evening! The first surprise in this restaurant attached to a truck stop was it had a great western look. Not corny - just pleasant. It was very busy on a early Friday evening.Ordered a 12 oz chopped sirloin dinner with mashed potatoes, homemade mashed potatoes, and a delicious side salad for $12.99. They also offer loaves of bread. It was all absolutely delicious! My family member had the meat loaf dinner and raved about it!We will be back!
A hidden jem. Great BBQ in a friendly neighborhood bar. Service is great. Food is fantastic. Love going here for dinner or just a drink after work. Friendly atmosphere will keep you coming back. Good size portions. The BBQ chicken is half a chicken with sides. Full or half rack ribs. Pulled Brisket sandwich. Check out what the daily specials are. Meat smoked on location! Give it a try you will not be disapointed.

We ate there on a busy Saturday evening. We made a 5:30 reservation, and I'd suggest that, as it got extremely busy after about 6. We (four of us) ordered the onion rings and fried mushroom appetizers (the waitress told us the onion ring order was huge) and one of those would have been plenty for all four of us. The waitress was correct. The onion ring order was HUGE as was the mushrooms! Both were delicious, the onions really sweet and the mushrooms were very large. For entree, I had the medium size prime rib and it was excellent. Tender and cooked as ordered. My wife had the walleye and that serving was very large. She couldn't eat it all. My prime rib came with the salad bar and their special hash brown style potato. I forget the name of them, but they were excellent. The only complaint was the food came so fast on top of the appetizers, I didn't even have a chance to go to the salad bar. All in all, a very good dining experience...and as a bourbon drinker, unlike a lot of small town bars, they had a nice selection of bourbons.

Tonight we decided to stop at the White House Inn. All 2 of us has the prime rib. My wife had the "AARP CUT". A 6 to 8 oz size with twice baked potato. My son and I had the "First Lady cut", a 10 to 12 oz size. I will tell you that it was more like 16oz. One with garlic mashed potato and the other with twiced baked sweet potatoes .They all came with rolls with butter, 1 side and soup or salad. We all choose the salad. The salad came on a ice cold glass plate, a nice mixture of greens, egg, onion, cucumber and tomato with a variety of homemade dressings. The ranch and celery seed dressing where very good. The prime rib came out exactly as we ordered. 1 medium and 2 medium rare. The food is very very good. The service was very good as well. My only issue was my meat could have been hotter with more au jus. We'll be back. Thank you for your very detailed honest review. We hope to see you and your family again soon.

Like its sister location in Haskins, Ohio, this establishment delivers consistently good food in a casual atmosphere and the warm comfort of a local grill/saloon. The service is always attentive and the food service is quick and efficient. Great comfort food and a fair price.
