We were staying at a nearby Inn while visiting our son & his family. They enjoy this restaurant, thought we would. We did. With 4 adults, 3 of whom were trying to eat healthy, a variety of dishes were ordered. All enjoyed. Iâm not a steak guy, so I narrowed my choices down to meatloaf and another. Asking our delightful waitress for other customers perceived preference, she identified the meatloaf, but qualified that assessment by saying the Shepardâs pie was a new addition. My only experience with it, has been thru Samâs Club. I liked theirs. I tried Cast Ironsâ. Loved it. When it arrived, my wife commented that it looked designed with me in mind. Being a big boy (6â3â, 238) who still spends at least 2 hours a day working out, I rarely defy my Motherâs admonition to âclean my plateâ. Cleaning that plate, was my workout on this day.

First of all, halal sandwiches in Fairfield? What a lovely surprise! Second, sandwiches made with chicken strips? Genius! Third, the Green Gobbler: turkey, jalapenos, dill sauce, pesto, cheese, on Dutch crunch (they were out of the other bread, but I love Dutch crunch so yay for me!). Do you go for the ambiance? Dear me, no. Are people friendly? Yes. Plenty of TVs and alcohol and a great selection of sandwiches.

New place Spring 2018. Surprised to see yet another taproom open for business. That said, Rustwater has been a frequent after work stop for me and my friends. Nice location in downtown Fairfield. Parking can be tricky, but this place caters to the DT crowd. An excellent selection of rotating brews - required for new taprooms. Food is ok and very welcome. I've shared many fries and bit into my pal's sandwiches. Try this place out. I certainly will be back.

It's what you would expect from a mid-priced chain sports bar-type restaurant. Service was decent Pleasant and efficient. Lots of fried food in fried appetizers. The choices of which are many and varied. There is an attempt to integrate healthy food into the menu but I didn't see too many people partaking of that option. On a more positive note they do have a pretty good drink and beer list with some local beer choices for the area. Noisy noisy noisy high-energy place. Not a place to look longingly and deep into your date eyes as you Ponder the beginning of a life together but every place and every time and this is a great place to go with the Bros if you want to watch the game.
