Our Dining Room features a log fire, well spaced tables and interesting artifacts. However if you wish to eat more informally then why not choose our relaxed bar, not to mention the delicious food prepared by. All food is sourced locally, and prepared on
Really great service and an excellent meal, reasonably priced at £35 for two including a drink each. Good gluten free options including quinoa and sweet potato burger with gluten free bun and the stilton & spinach gluten free gnocchi with juicy mushrooms was fabulous. I also recommend the spicy broccoli and walnut side. Perfect choice for a Friday evening meal.

Four of us dined in the restaurant & were given the wine list. We looked at the list & ordered 2 bottles of wine - at this point the waiter did not tell us that the bottles of wine were not listed on the list we looked at - it was measured by the glass or carafe. When the bill arrived we were shocked at how much we'd been charged for the wine & the waiter argued with us that he had offered us the other wine list - he hadn't. The meal had been quite pleasant up till this point but we felt deceived by the waiter & we didn't feel comfortable with that.

A traditional Cotswold Public House in the picturesque village of Lower Swell, near Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.
We stopped here for lunch on a bike ride out of Bourton on the Water. Very friendly and cozy pub. Food was terrific. Adults had bubble and squeak cottage pie, which was excellent. Kids were very happy with their food, too (chicken schnitzel and tomato soup). Would definitely recommend!!!

Sheep on Sheep Street has a seasonal menu based around the woodfire oven which features in the centre of the restaurant. On the menu are gourmet southern Italian-style wood fire pizzas. The Sheep welcomes families with a bespoke children's menu available
This is certainly an easily missed restaurant, although it is situated at the main street and almost directly opposite the famous Porch House. The restaurant is modern, very clean, tidy and feels airy and bright. The reception was warm and friendly and the service staff was also freindly and helpful. The menu is mostly Italian fares. The food take some time to arrive but that is okay because when it came, they were simply marvellous. Not only the food presentations were beautifully done, they even taste so delicious.

Central Stow, the Talbot is the perfect place to pop in and have lunch or even a relaxed evening meal.
We were looking for a late afternoon tea (at 4pm) and The Talbot was the only place open. Had a cream tea, though this was prob Iâll advised being that The Talbot is a pub, not a tearoom. Scone was okay, but had a feeling that the only other couple in the pub where friends of the barmaid so we felt a little like we were intruding on their private conversations.

We followed our daughterâs 30th with a couple of nights recovery at The Bell. We were in room 4 which although not a large room, but bigger than the Broom Cupboard, was plenty big enough and really well equipped. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were great! We came and went after wandering, purchasing and generally relaxing. We ate at the Bell both nights, reserving a table which was necessary. Sunday dinner was excellent and we both loved our choices. Monday evening was different menu with a lamb offer and a local steak both superb. Lots of choice of beers and wines!Thank you! We will be back, next time to walk and see more (although we do know the area having honeymooned close by 35 years ago on the Sunday.)

We stopped here for lunch and had a baguette and chips, all are of a good size and quality, the prices compared to some places in Stow are also reasonable. The atmosphere is great-think big wooden tables and friendly locals. Would definately recommend.

This is a great hotel restaurant with a good range of beautufully cooked and presented food. My wife is on a gluten free diet, and they offered to make all but one of main courses gluten free on request. All the staff were incredibly knowledgeable, knowing what was gluten free and what was not without needing to consult books or the kitchen. service was attentive without being intrusive, A really good dining experience - it is just a pity that the restaurant is not open at lunchtime.
