We had passed this restaurant many times because it is very conveniently located to a shopping area and cinema where we frequently go. We wanted to try someplace different for our anniversary lunch so we chose J. Timothy's Taverne. We were very pleased with the colonial pub atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is eclectic -- so many choices! We both ordered the open-face crab melt sandwich with onion straws as the side. Delicious, and just the right portion size. We will definitely visit J Timothy's again soon to try some more of the many tempting offerings.

I've been to Ideal Tavern three times in the last six months - every visit far exceeded my expectations. Service is excellent and food is unique and so good. Their beer, wine, and cider selection is impressive. The brunch menu is so appetizing that it's difficult to choose - you'll want to order everything!Reservations suggested for dinner, it's small so it can get crowded quickly.

We're the new tavern here, but we bring with us all the character of our past experiences in the food and music industry. We wanted to create a place where musicians, food and drink enthusiasts and the community could all come together. A bar is only as l
Service was wonderful, food was absolutely delicious, especially the donut wings. And their homemade lemonade is quite the treat.

After weekend with family, decided to treat myself to my birthday dinner at Sams. The music was brain hemorrhage inducing LOUD. I'm half deaf, and if I had trouble with the volume, I can't imagine the pain it was inflicting on people with full hearing. I have always loved their fried calimari, as you'll see from my prior 5 star reviews. Not today. Got mostly tentacles and they were overcooked. Same issue with fried shrimp. The only thing that kept this from being a one star meal was the server. I paid $32 (after tip) for a $5 meal. Very disappointing.

Dined here with a former colleague on business from Germany looking for a good American burger and a couple of beers. Perfect spot. Nice beer list and the burger was right up there with some of the best I have had. Good service. Casual atmosphere. Will try again with friends.Thank you!! :)

Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of having the Manor Inn cater a family event at my home. Joe delivered the food piping hot. Even the rolls were hot and fresh right out of the oven. The roasted chicken, tenderloin tips and eggplant rotini were absolutely delicious. The kids devoured the ziti. Not only did Joe bring the food, but also the plates, the cutlery, the napkins and even the butter for the rolls. It couldnât get any easier for cleanup. I will definitely use the Manor Inn again for catering and highly recommend them for dining in the restaurant. Our favorite seating is on the bar side. Thank you Joe, it was great.

We went to The Fire Place to celebrate a friend's birthday on an early Sunday evening. There were seven of us and the wait staff was very accommodating to let us sit outside. We split two large pizzas one was the mash potato and the other was a split between the chicken bacon ranch and the buffalo chicken. First of all I have to say the crust was amazing. It was so light, airy, and crisp all at the same time. Additionally all the pizza were awesome. We certainly did not pick healthy selections, but none of them tasted heavy in the slightest and all of the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful. The Fire Place also offers a decent line up of domestic and craft beers as well as wine for a pizza restaurant. Prices for alcohol were competitive and while the pizza was priced on the higher end the quality of the pies justify the bottom line. I would definitely return with friends and family to try some of their other pizza offerings.

Wood ânâ Tap in Southington is our go-to place when we want a quick meal in a nice environment. We like to eat at one of the booths in the bar. The wait staff is friendly and service is usually quick and efficient. I love their Bar Bites (sliders) my husband often has angel hair pasta. For an inexpensive quick dinner or lunch this is a good value.

Met friends for dinner in Southington and gathered at Flair for a fun evening!Started out with cocktails and apps. Our waiter Keith helped to make our dining experience fun!Enjoyed the veal and shrimp special! A delicious combination with large portions of veal over mashed potatoes and topped off with crispy onion rings! Great taste! To top off our dinner, Hector the chef/owner, surprised us with a combination of pecan pie and cheesecake squares Hector and his staff take pride in their restaurant and when we left everyone waved goodbye from Hector, the waiter the bartender and the hostess. Just loved the whole evening!

Anthony Jacks is my favorite restaurant! Each entree comes with a large salad, warm bread, and a bean spread. Most come with a potato and vegetable as well. I always get the filet mignon. The best part is the chocolate soufflé cake. Itâs not really a soufflé. Itâs like a cross between warm fudge and warm brownie batter - absolutely delicious!Thank you!! :)
