Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Silverton. Silverton is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. The city is situated along the 45th parallel about 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Salem, in the eastern margins of the broad alluvial plain of the Willamette Valley. The city is named after Silver Creek, which flows through the town from Silver Falls into the Pudding River, and thence into the Willamette River. Silverton was originally called Milford, then Silver Creek; on July 16, 1855, Silver Creek became Silverton. Human habitation of the Silverton area extends back approximately 6,000 years before the present. In historical times, the region was dominated by the Kalapuya and Molala peoples, whose seasonal burns of the area made it plow-ready and attractive to early 19th century Euro-American settlers. Farming was Silverton's first major industry, and has been a dominant land-use activity in and around Silverton since the mid-19th century.

We were able to make a dinner out of their small but good menu. The garlic fries are really great. Salmon tacos and hearty chicken strips were good too. Friendly servers.

My wife and I wanted less than a full meal and decided to try Milltown Pub. We weren't disappointed. She had the Tonkatsu rice bowl--unusual for a pub--and a cup of soup; both were excellent. And I had a really good hamburger with a green salad. The owner served us and was very attentive and friendly.

My husband and I have started visiting as many local establishments for happy hour as we can find. We have watched The Gallon House come on the scene and noticed it is always quite busy. I visited their website (it was a little outdated) and saw that they advertise Happy Hour from 3-6. We arrived at 5:25 and chose a great outdoor table after catching the waiters eye. He was very very busy. He seemed to be alone serving 10+ tables. We waited patiently as he ran back and forth in the 90 degree heat. There was plenty to watch from our table and we empathized with the waiter as he scrambled. He brought our menus and seemed a little impatient at first. When he came back I proceeded to ask some questions about their beers and he pointed me to a lighted beer list in the window that we couldn't see from our table. I went to review and was impressed by the selection. I came back to the table and when he came back I explained that I usually drank wine but wanted to try a local brew. He said he had an idea of what I would like and brought out to taste samples for me. He apologized that our first visit was so hectic, but was expecting help to arrive soon. We ordered food and drinks and did not have to wait long at all. THE BEST SWEET POTATO FRIES EVER. Our waiter was professional and friendly and the food was awesome. This place is an entertaining place to enjoy a meal. We will return. We have other brews and items on the menu to try! I will say that the website needs some work and that our waiter told us that Happy Hour is actually 2-5pm. PS- the bartender was slammed and never stopped moving.

We came here three times during our three day stay in Silverton. We tried the Silver Eclipse IPA, Over the Falls IPA, and Ranger Red and they were all very good. This is a small brewery, but in looking at their beer list, it appears they have something for everyone. Their semi-permanent food truck partner, Loco Ono, serves wonderful brisket and pulled pork (this from picky BBQ eaters!), and their mac and cheese is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful. We come to Silverton several times a year and we'll definitely be back here again!!!

While vacationing and visiting with friends, the Wooden Nickel had been recommended...and it was well worth the lunch visit. Jalapeño corn bread was amongst the best weâd ever had...but after the server said âbrisketâ and âTraegerâ I didnât hear much else. All the food was outstanding, but the brisket was even better than that! Highly recommend this place...

First off....this used to be a brothel. That gets your attention, yes? This explains the various paintings of voluptuous women about the restaurant. But seriously, they make their own sausage, which you can add to the Mac and cheese for a wonderful bowl of goodness. Sit on the deck in the back, next to the creek? River? Whatever, a body of water. The servers varied in kindness, from being very friendly to just doing their job. The friendly one told us where we could buy the sausage, which is made at another bar owned by the same owner as Macs. Itâs called The Wooden Nickel. So we stopped there and bought a dozen sausages and pepperoni. Their menu looked fantastic too.So stopping in Silverton after a days hike at Silver Falls is well worth the time. Cute little town! Enjoy!!!
