Arrived for lunchtime food with several colleagues and first they said they were only doing sandwiches then someone came and grabbed all the menus in a bizarre mood and said there's no food due an incident in the kitchen. In fact every member of staff were in a weird mood. Plus the bar was really limited in stock. It's a great pub in a great location but totally mis-managed. In 1 hour I counted 24 people turn up and drive away due to lack of food. I suggest avoiding this place for now! It was unwelcoming and definitely not friendly, there was a chill in the air in the bar and it was made worse by the mood of the bar staff, chef and landlady. The place felt like a failing pub or one struggling to get going and yet the footfall was there but they just couldn't capitalise on it and turn it into revenue. We left and found a pub for food and we took 6 extra bodies with us. Another thing that struck me as odd is that it has a large bar area with just 14 seats in it, could easily have fitted double that number and more.

An English country pub kitted out in contemporary-boutique style, The Fuzzy Duck is set is an 18th-century coaching inn. Alongside gourmet British dishes, stone-baked pizzas and a tasty children's menu, a lengthy bar stock includes fruity cocktails and fi
Visited for lunch as staying nearby. Had sandwiches which were good, served with massive chips and a small pot of salad. Our favourite local gastropub has recently closed and, unfortunately, nice enough as the Fuzzy Duck is, it is not as good as the other was. The pub is quite stylish and the staff were pleasant but we were unsure we wanted to pay its fairly high prices for an evening meal based on the lunchtime visit.Hello parisienne61, I appreciate your feedback from your visit. We will take your comments on board and try to improve for the future. We do try to keep our prices competitive for the area. However, we do hope that we see you again soon. Kind Regards, The Fuzzy Duck

In a world inundated with celebrity chefs, gastro pubs and misaligned Michelin stars its bloody refreshing to find an old fashioned English pub serving old fashioned âpub grubâ. Weâve wasted a bucket of money (on a holiday from Australia) on the aforementioned overrated rip offs and more by good luck than good judgment we found âThe Ploughâ. Salvation at at last, old, small, out of the way and yet extremely rewarding. Great atmosphere, great food and even better hosts make it a Cotswold winner. Could not recommend it any higher, best meal in a long time. Thank you for this delightful review, we hope you had a safe journey back to OZ !

The George has been around for as long as anyone can remember, but in early 2016 it was been treated to a huge makeover including all 15 en-suite bedrooms. Standing proudly in the centre of Shipston High Street, it still remains as the tallest building on

We are a friendly family run pub. We try to use locally sourced products and all our food is cooked fresh to order. The pub has a fantastic garden with a river at the bottom. We are child & dog friendly though both need to have well behaved grown-ups with
Called in for lunch this week and took my mum and my dog. We both had the steak pie and chips and it was absolutely delicious. We were told there would be a 20 min wait which was fine it meant it was being cooked fresh and we were in no rush, we went out in the beer garden and enjoyed the weather. It was a hot day and without asking a fresh bowl of clean water was brought over for my dog which she appreciated and I thought that it the kind of attentive service that it lacking nowadays. The small team were so friendly and welcoming and its a shame I don't live closer to this pub as I would be there more frequently. If you are going to the area I would recommend you go here to eat. There is amble car parking a cosy bar area, large restaurant and plenty of room outside and for me great food and great service s a winner everytime. Thank you Cherington ArmsThank you so much for your positive write up. We are a small team but we enjoy working together and our aim is to cook and present the best meal possible for you the customer and four legged friends are just as welcome and in the weather we had a bowl of water was the least we could do. Hope fully if you find your way in our parts we might see you again.Thank you again and I am glad you enjoyed your visitTracy

A great traditional coaching Inn near the cotswolds, serving great pub food, local real ales from Hook Norton and a traditional Sunday Carvery.
The service was pleasant and friendly. We were able to order a small rump steak which was delicious. This meant we had room for the pudding, and a delicious brownie it was too! There are tables at the back, plenty of places in the Bar and Restaurant and it has a decent sized car park too.

We have a lovely Cotswold pub with log burner. We proud to serve the wonderful Donnington Ales. We also have a large selection of larger sizes, ciders, spirits and soft drinks. Serve food 12-3pm / 6-9pm mon-sat Sunday roasts served 12-5pm Sunday We open 1
We visited on my birthday earlier in the year as I love scouting out Donnington pubs. I was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Having waited patiently the best part of 5 minutes for the barmaid to cease idle chit chat with the locals at the bar, I noticed she whispered something under her breathe which was aimed in my direction. When she finally did acknowledge me, I asked if they were serving food to which she curtly replied âNoâ. As I left the bar, I heard an older couple enquire about food and I overheard the barmaid offer them a choice of sandwiches! If youâre under 50, donât expect anything less than a frosty reception and appalling manners!I am very sorry that you had this experience here. I have messaged you directly. I would like to offer you a meal. Again I am truly sorry and I have spoken to all staff members Jess
