We visited this neighborhood bar/pub and got take out pizza and wings and salad. We had it delivered to a local hotel. It was very good! They delivered great food at reasonable prices and on time as they projected! The pizza is not as spicy as normal American pizza, and was very good with fresh made crust and generous toppings. The wings and salad were also very good. This is a wonderful alternative to the more expensive restaurants in the hotels in the area. We will be back whenever we are in the area!

Montanaâs is a Canadian BBQ & Bar joint famous for our Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, 100% Canadian Steaks and Burgers, and a variety of other favorites like Fire-Grilled Chicken Tacoâs and Mac N Cheese. Weâre a casual restaurant thatâs great for all occasions a
We were in Sault Ste Marie for a medical appointment and decided to have a late lunch before heading back to Sudbury. We chose Montanaâs because usually this chain always has good food, weâve been to many, in different locations and we have always walked out happy with our experience. That is, until we ate at this Montanaâs in Sault Ste Marie. The only good thing about it was the view of the bridge to the states where we sat. There were only a handful of customers when we were there, so it wasnât overly busy. We ordered a Cobb salad for me, wings and poutine for my husband and crispy onion rings to share. When the waitress brought our order to the table, she brought everything except the wings, stating that itâll take another minute or so before they come. Well, it took so long that we honestly think she initially forgot to place the order for them and ordered them as an afterthought! My salad was ok, except for the presentation. Usually, Cobb salads are served with all the ingredients on top of a bed of lettuce, placed nicely, one beside the other. Not this one! It was tossed, with a dry piece of grilled chicken sitting on top. I only saw a couple of mushroom slices and a few onions, mixed in the wilted lettuce. The âcrispyâ onion rings were crispy alright! They were way overdone! The fries in the poutine tasted rubbery, like they had been sitting a while before they made the poutine. When the wings finally came, ten minutes later, they were overdone also! We were given no extra napkins, no bucket for the bones, no wet-naps. When my husband pulled out the bbq sauce bottle to add a bit more sauce to his wings, the bottle had a long hair stuck to it, gross. Nothing about this meal was any good and had we not been in a hurry to get going, we definitely would have complained! We wonât be going back to this restaurant and the owners should be ashamed to call themselves Montanaâs! Good Afternoon Gina and Dave. We are terribly sorry about the experience you had with us recently and we want to ensure that this is made right. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. It wasnât busy so we received fast and friendly service. I had the Hoagie and my husband had chicken wings and fries. It was the first Hoagie I ever had and it was delicious!!! My husbands wings and fries were great. We will definitely return.
Food and service here are better than they have to be for a tourist oriented place, innotable (and yes, sad) contrast to the other side of the border, (with exceptions, of course.)Excellent spinach salad and fish ânâ chips, wine and beer. Great view of the river and shipping traffic too. Canadian proud. So unselfconscious. How refreshing. Thanks, Canadians!

The Boiler Room provided an outstanding pub experience recently. Our server was exceptional. The pizza was excellent and that's something to say about a place serving pizza in Sault Ste Marie where the majority of restaurants serve Italian fare and pizza has always been better than good here. Beer choices were awesome. Very nice vibe and nice to be dining in a place where the age bracket was mostly over 50 for a change. As this was the dinner hour, the younger crowd comes out much later in the evening and in fact as we were leaving, the crowd demographics were already changing to a much lower average age. The menu offers some great pizza options as well as salads, appies and sandwiches. The Boiler Room is a place to return to for another light meal.

Had a craving for salt and pepper wings, so I headed to Wacky's on lake street.Wings were very good, the menu said "Cracked pepper and Seal Salt" I couldn'ttell if it was sea salt but it wasn't cracked pepper more like regular black pepper. But, nonetheless the wings were very good, Waitress was friendly and efficient.Hi Larry, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, our Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper are prepared as described. We sincerely apologize for your experience and will rectify this at our restaurant right away. Please email me at [email protected] so I may make this right.

I call this a mixed review as that is what it is. On our first night at the Water Tower Inn we thought we would try Caseyâs restaurant for supper. The portions were large and well worth the price. We found our waitress friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and helpful when we had questions. The meal and waitress was worth a 5 star. The next morning we went for breakfast. Our waitress wasnât really friendly or helpful. My wife and I ordered breakfast and it seemed like we waited 20 minutes for our meal. About this time the waitress came over to our table and told us the restaurant ran out of white bread. The waitress asked me if I want something else. How does a restaurant run out of white bread at 9:30 in the morning. I asked the waitress if I could get extra hash browns and she said yes. My breakfast came and I asked the waitress if the 10 potatoes was extra to replace the toast and she said oh, I can get you extra. Really hard was it to walk to the kitchen and ask for extra hash browns. I would give Breakfast a 1 star.We decide to have lunch in the pub at the Water Tower Inn, the waitress was friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable of the menu. The service we received from her was second to none. Food we had was absolutely phenomenal and we would recommend the waitress and the pub to anyone, therefore we would rate the pub at a 5 star and would recommend the waitress for employee of the month if we could. On our last day we were at the Water Tower in we decided to try the buffet at Caseyâs. For $10.50 per person for a buffet, I would expect a buffet. To drink you could have coffee, tea, or juice, but only only item not juice and coffee together. Then the buffet consisted of 2 types of cereal, toast, a little fruit tray, yogurt, and a cook serving potatoes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I had to ask to get fruit as the tray was empty and the waitress said it is early enough she could put out another one. At one point we saw the waitress go into the kitchen to dish out the food to the customers and didnât wash her hands before serving. The eggs were bland and if you donât like bacon you wouldnât get meat with your breakfast . For $10.50 we expected more, therefore we would rate breakfast buffet a 1 star. We feel breakfast needs a lot of work to reach the level of the other areas in the Caseyâs evening and bar services, quality, and value.Rhys, that certainly was a mixed review, but a very thorough one. Thanks for taking the time to write in such detail! The Water Tower Pub dishes up excellent food, including our stone-baked, thin-crust pizza, and great beers on tap. I'm happy to hear that you felt the service and food in the pub and Casey's Grill.Bar were second to none. I will address the concerns with breakfast with the team. You gave excellent feedback. Thank you again and I hope we'll see you back at the Inn, Casey's and the Water Tower Pub.

We really enjoyed our meal of fish tacos at Burger Don; the fixings and pico de gallo were quite tasty. The service was friendly and efficient when we were there; it wasn't crowded at the time. Decor is attractive and the ambience was good, but the area we sat in (high table and chairs near the wall) could have used a bit more thorough sweeping.
