The Butcher Meat bar is a relaxed place with a splendid terrace to enjoy different cuts of meat and homemade burgers accompanied by cocktails, milkshake with alcohol or wines
This place just opened up a few weeks ago. Short walk from the Intercontinental Hotel so very convenient if staying there. Excellent service and food. Although they have several types of meat I ordered their Jesus Christ (their spicy burger) burger which was just a bit spicy and juicy, PERFECT! Burgers came with a side order of potato wedges and they were great as well. Recommended. I will definitely visit again!Thank you Jorge for your opinion, we hope to see you soon !!

We are a pub with craft beers and imported, we have artisan pizza with thin pasta and international dishes, in a family atmosphere.
It is hard to believe that this kind of average looking restaurant in a big shopping mall next to a Chilis is the top rated restaurant in Heridia. The food is OK, service is OK, the beer selection is good and the parking options are excellent. Still I was disappointed after walking across town based on reviews to find something that would fit right into a suburban strip mall in middle america

Argentine food in a lovely place in the heart of San José. We work hard to make our costumer the best meal in San Jose. Just walk in and you will not regret. We wish to see you!
This place was recommended to us by the hotel Presidente staff. We were lucky and got a table on the upper level balcony, with a good view over evening street life. Alexander, our server was very attentive and we were very pleased with the steaks and our bottle of red wine.

Restaurant with authentic Spanish cuisine, tapas and entrees, a wide selection of Spanish wines and, terrace overlooking the valley and tapas-bar very affordable prices and exclusive audience. (We are Pet Friendly)
I cannot remember having such a delightful evening in a very long time! Visiting the Escazu area of San Jose for the first time, and wanted to try something we couldn't get in the States. Trip Advisor rated this restaurant quite highly - especially for the price - and we decided to give it a try. It's a good thing we are tenacious, for we had trouble finding it in the dark (it's about 50 meters straight up the road from the sign PRIVE, on the next lefthand corner) but after we finally found it, it was worth every minute of searching! The service could not have been better. I believe our server Vincente may have also been the owner; he was charming and attentive to our every need. He spoke very little English (although his chef partner did) but they offer detailed menus written in English, and he was very helpful in selecting the best dishes for everyone. We shared smaller portions of a good variety of things - both appetizers and main courses - and even my nearly-impossible-to-please son, who is also a chef, was delighted with everything. It was a perfect evening to sit outside and look out over the city lights, with lovely music playing in the background. We seldom waited for more than a few minutes between plates, and yet we never felt rushed. The timing of everything was perfect for us. Our particular favorites were the fried calamari, the tortilla de patata, the shrimp in garlic, and the house-made green peppercorn sauce for the beef tenderloin medallions. We all enjoyed the evening immensely, from young adults to middle-age to elderly family members. I suspect this treasure will not stay hidden for long!

Katta is a gastropub that its soul purpose is to induct people into the world of craft food and beer. Katta specializes in giving the costumer a unique experience while providing great food and service.
This place should remain number 1!!! The place has unbelievable food and great beer selection (local beers and Belgium/German) and the staff is so amazing!!! And open air seating if you like. They played some Metallica videos for me at my request. What a great find. And a short Uber/taxi ride if you are close to airport.

Located in the Plaza Cariari. Busy spot for drink & eats! Plenty of atmosphere with an all American feel to it. LOVE the NEON. Lots of food choices. Plenty of friendly servers. Hilary from Italy, took great care of us, thanks! Decent sangria, needs more fruit! Say hey to the owner Paul if you can! Go!

Simple place, cheap prices with local Costa Rican taste. Like a neighborhood place, no frills, excellent for local taste. They are very simple but they know it and do it perfectly.

Typical hotel bar in a moderate hotel. Nice enough for a night cap if you're staying at the hotel, but not interesting enough to warrant an effort to visit.

Burger options are very good. Wish they were a tad more flavorful but toppings and everything else are excellent. Order one from menu or create your own. The Hamburguesia burger is excellent. Wings and chicken fingers dry. Note to self: donât go to burger place and order wings.Hello! Thank you very much for your feedback, hope to see your around soon :)

The Zambra lobby bar provides the perfect place to relax, featuring martinis, cocktails, sangria and a light tapas menu with live music.
Over the past four months I have spent, on average, two weeks a month at the Intercontinental, which included many visits to Bar Zambra. Javier, Randall, Jonathan, Chris, Ana, Mauren, Marianela and the rest of the staff are warm and friendly, and make all guests feel at ease. The food is served from one of the fine restaurants on site, and the drinks are served cold and perfectly mixed. You will not be disappointed at Bar Zambra.Dear client,Thank you for taking the time to share with us your comments. It´s a pleasure you enjoyed the experience of Zambra, we´re glad the service you received was excellent. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.
