We're a beer and burger joint, plain and simple. You can always expect a friendly, intimate experience when you walk into our quirky little barspace. Amazing burgers made with 100% Wagyu beef, over 100 craft beers to choose from, and a personal touch from
Casual, loud and tasty. Nice selection of specialty burgers with a daily special. Friendly staff who helped us decide on food. Visited similar establishments in other cities and this is definitely the place for burgers and an excellent selection of brews in Roanoke - all with great music!

It's Applebee's so nothing has changed on the menu. This was within 10 minutes from the Hampton Inn and easy to find. The food and drinks were good and serves too.

Established in the 80's, this place was very popular back in 90's. Mostly forgotten now, I am grateful I have two chef friends who have cooked here, otherwise I would not have know how good the food still is! Had the beyond meat burger--with cheddar, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and fries. Veggie patty had heavy smoke flavor! Amazing!!

We're an eclectic tequila bar serving simple, fresh tacos. Walk into our beautifully restored building and enjoy a unique dining experience with an open kitchen and friendly bar service. Our well-stocked bar boasts 85 tequilas available in short or long p
Loved the atmosphere absolutely beautiful. Very good service. Average food. The drinks were 4 ounces and $8-10 each! That is ridiculous. I can go to El rodeo and get a jumbo margarita for nine dollars and this tiny little thing was down in four sips.Hey there, thanks for giving us a try. It's nice to hear you enjoyed our atmosphere so much and had great service. However, we are sorry you were unimpressed with our drinks. We hear your feedback. Hope to see you in again to keep exploring our menu. â

Come for the food, stay for the fun! Awful Arthur's has been serving up some of Southwest Virginia's finest seafood ever since the Historic Downtown Roanoke location opened in 1994. Boasting an abundant supply of fresh fish and the areas most complete raw
Here for a graduation visit...niece from Roanoke College...and arrived a day early. Everyone otherwise engaged so we (2 of us) googled places to eat. This sounded like a choice for the night...nearby the hotel and a happy hour... and we were pleasantly surprised that food was DELICIOUS! All fish was so fresh and prepared perfectly...also a raw bar for some pre dinner clams and oysters. We enhoyed our find and Hayley, our server was sweet and efficient. Just a great welcome to the area!

A dozen of us stopped in on a Saturday evening and were pleased that they could seat us all at a large table; it was in the center of their dining room where most of the other seating was booths or small table. Our server, Lucia was the name listed on the bill, made the rounds taking drink orders. That process seems to be slowed a bit by her need to check with the bar to get answers to some of our questions including about the draft dark beer options given that the listed Deschutes Porter was not available. Likewise, the delivery of our drink order seemed slowed a bit by her need for return visits to the bar. Not sure the reason. Our food orders were taken and delivered without those delays. Several of us enjoyed the chicken wings, a signature dish here. My hamburger was cooked as ordered and came with a side of fries, which were unfortunately cold, and a very small side of baked beans; although those beans were listed on the menu as home made, they tasted like caned to me. All-in-all, the food and service seems about average to me; nothing stood out as remarkable good or bad.

We were not disappointed. We had to drive a little ways off of I-81 to find it. Glad we did. Service was good & very reasonable. The plate portions were plentiful. Cost was reasonable, as well. Just looking around & it confirmed our thoughts that the locals enjoy eating here.

Huge variety sit down sandwich / sub shop, regional chain.
Silver Sage stopped off in the sleepy little town of Salem Virginia. We went we first walked into awful Arthurs restaurant which was completely empty and no one was there to greet us so we turned around and left. We then ventured into the little Mexican restaurant down the road and yet again it was open but not a soul to be seen. We called out but no one came forth to greet us. We continued our search for a bite to eat and happened upon Macadoâs. At first we were a little skeptical. We were immediately greeted by a glum young fellow. We wondered if he had a pulse? The music inside the restaurant was incredibly loud. But they had an outdoor back patio. And no other restaurants in town seemed to want any business.Service: We sat down and our server, Amanda Wright was pleasant and knowledgeable. She steered us toward the bottle of wine (Wednesday special) saying âitâs only $2 more than one glass.â Good advice. And she was understanding with our soy and nut allergies as she told me sheâd talk to the Chef about what I can and cannot eat.Food: we started with Mexiskins that are just what they sound like. Potato skins but with some hotness on top. Chef Ryan Davis offered to make them without frying in the vegetable oil so I could eat them. Delicious! And hot! The CFO then ordered the Wild Bill Burger - great chew on the bun, tasty burger and cooked as ordered! Publisher had the Southwestern Fiesta Salad with grilled chicken and olive oil/vinegar dressing sans the tortilla bowl as it was fried. Large portion, tasty salad.Venue: indoors was well lit and decorated but way too loud. Outdoor seating had plenty of fans to keep things cool, lights and good vibe.Thank you Chef Ryan and Amanda!

After many hours of driving we were in need of some good food! Billyâs popped up in a search so we gave it a whirl! Very reasonable, home cooked food. Seems like a locals hang out which is cool. We all got burgers and fries and one of us got fried spinach! That was new and different and best of all he LOVED it! Nice find on a road trip!!! Thank you for your kind review. We sincerely appreciate you stopping by!

Opened in 1980 as a 10 stool pub and has grown into a 330 seat restaurant with outdoor dining, indoor and outdoor bars. Famous for huge, great-tasting calzones. Wide range of menu items including steaks, salads, burgers, seafood, sandwiches, and pasta dis
We were pointed to this place by the hotel and were very pleased that we took the short drive over as we really enjoyed the experience. Parking was right next door so access was easy. Our server, Erin, was friendly and seemed to be keen that we enjoyed the visit. Her recomendation for a beer to start was good and a local brew was taken by me which was cool and tasty on a hot evening. Our order was taken quite quickly and we had been advised that things might take a little while as everything is cooked to order. It was not long however before our shared starter of wings arrived. These were meaty and tasty with just the right amount of heat. Our mains (steak for me a a huge calzoni that was ordered as a smaller plate) wre excellent. Nicely cooked and very tasty indeed. The place was busy and buzzing with a mix of families and college people which made for a friendly and plesant atmosphere. Overall a great experience and one that we would repeat if we pass throuygh the area again; highly recommended.Thank you so much for the nice 5 star review. Erin is one of best servers. I am glad you enjoyed your food and service. Hope you stop by again next time your travel through Salem.
