This bar is located closed to The Riverview Inn restaurant. Most of the time the Riverview will close early and those who are not ready for the night to end will walk down the road and finish the night here. This bar is more of a hole in the wall for locals.

The very best crabs, and crab cakes ANYWHERE. Long known for this. Several local best of awards.
Have gone a couple times, and have mixed feelings. The servers definitely treat the locals/regulars better than those they don't know. Seems to be a popular place for crabs. We have never had them, but have been told you need to reserve in advance. Also heard weekly shrimp special is good. Again, have not had. But, did order shrimp off the menu. They weren't cheap, but they were large and cooked perfectly. Found the crab and sausage soup to be good, but the cream of crab not so good (too much flour). Rock fish bites pretty good - decent portion size. Lots of folks like the crab cakes, but too much filler for us. No frills atmosphere. Very casual. Has a little bit of smell when you enter. It is a tavern, which means no underage kids allowed. Wish it were better, as we live nearby and is convenient.

Good ribs. Service lacking. Family of four seated nearby waited at least 15 minutes, then left. Across parking Iot from Hampton Inn. Walking distance from Super 8.

My spouse had the coconut shrimp, one of the few non-garlic, non-spicy items on the menu and I had the catfish and chicken jambalaya. Her's was 6 large shrimp accompanied with mashed sweet potatoes and hush puppies; my catfish was lightly bread and deep fried to a moist perfection. The chicken jambalaya was also moist with vegetables and lightly season; great meals. A lot of food and some left overs for take away. To full for dessert. The only thing was that there were 6 medium size shrimp for $26; a bit overpriced for that size shrimp.

We read a few good reviews on this restaurant and love eating on the water so we went here. This restaurant is very rustic, the chairs are plastic and comfortable enough, the music great, server Chelsea did an excellent job. We really liked our food, spouse said the crab cake sliders didn't need the bun and he would order them again anytime. It's a local place to hang out, drink and dance, how great.

Jessop's proudly specializes in Belgian Beers. We carry over 300 bottles and 21 drafts.
You never can tell about a historic restaurant. Some rely on the historic draw to get diners in the door and fall short on the food quality, but my wife and I were surprised how good the food was. We started with the wild mushroom flatbread. Their version of wild mushrooms is vastly different than mine. These were merely white mushrooms but were pretty good with the garlic oil and bread. My wife ordered the shepherds pie and boy were we glad we didn't order any other entrees. The pie was huge and delicious. The gravy was poured over a mound of rich beef and lots of mashed potatoes. The gravy tasted like the real-deal homemade overnight stock type of gravy. We couldn't quite finish the whole thing and still have room for dessert. Our waitress Shannon was friendly and efficient. Parking was free and easy, though I bet somedays it could be hard to find a parking spot nearby. The only thing we didn't like was they bring water to the table without asking if we wanted plastic straws. It would be nice to at least ask first since 500,000,000 straws thrown away each day in the US is way too much! We'd definitely like to give it another try in the fall.

Iâve never been a huge fan of the food here, but on a recent trip I tried the barbecue chicken nachos, which were excellent. Crabbys is close to my house so itâs any easy place to visit for an adult beverage. I love the outside bar. The draft beer choices are good and the staff work hard and are very friendly. Try the nachos!
