Entered the place during the Christmas market on a Sunday afternoon. Got a completely dried out pancake drowning in mokka sauce. Furthermore, sitting close to the bar, overheard the staff constantly criticising their customers. Probably one of the least interesting places in this otherwise very welcoming city.

Located in the liveliest street of Saint Omer, the wine bar, in vino veritas, is an address not to be missed if you are looking for good wines. The bar offers glasses of wine from 3 euros, with charcuterie boards. The property regularly organizes events w

The waiter was very friendly and helped us by speaking in English which was very nice. Unfortunately the menu is limited after 3pm to toasted sandwiches, crepes and ice cream but nonetheless it was pleasant and we enjoyed sitting outside. The beers are expensive and can be found cheaper in other bars (try the one down the alley).

We ate here because (to our irritation) our hotel, HOTEL LA SAPINIERE, does not open its restaurant on Sunday evenings. We were hoping for an early dinner, but St-Omer restaurants, as is typical, start service at 7pm. We arrived at Bistro 28 at 6pm, were told that service generally started at 6:30pm, but were served anyway. All good. We had the mussels and some wine. It was all fine. We were served by the owner and he was fairly attentive. The only odd thing was that he directed all comments to me, and never made eye contact with my wife. I find that very obvious and a little uncomfortable.

Situated on the market square we sat outside for lunch and people-watched going about their business at the Saturday market.Service was attentive and very friendly. English speaking waiter although did speak to him in French and he seemed to understand which was good.Excellent choice of menu at really great prices. Dad had the camembert salad, hubby had beefsteak and I had the goats cheese salad. Washed down with several carafes of local rose wine this was a perfect lunchtime. Would definitely return here.

We visit St Omer once or twice a year for Lunch, and on this occasion our normal Bar Brasserie was closed for some maintaince work, so fortunately the Spey was, so we spent a couple of hours there enjoying some Wine and Food. The food menu was varied and reasonably priced and came well prepared and presented nicely and what should have been hot was hot, more than adequate portions very good.Thank you.Staff were helpful and attentive.Only critism was it was rather chilly especially as it was Raining and had been all morning.

We stopped here for drinks whilst in the area. Unfortunately we did not eat here and I am not totally sure if food is available. The bar is very friendly and there is an excellent range of drinks on offer. There is a friendly happy atmosphere within the pub and the locals appear keen to speak and be friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and would visit again without hesitation

Greeted by the owner who was spot on with his service, We had moules and although a little small 'prefer green lipped moules' from New Zealand as served at Keepers, in South Boarhunt, The meal was very good. Waitress kept an eye on our glasses to make sure we did not dehydrate.

We had the Gourmet Menu and also treated ourselves to a Kir Royale for a total of £26 per head- amazing value and wonderful service. We sat outside on the terrace and despite being the only ones outside, the delightful waitress was very perceptive to our needs and we never felt forgotten. The car park was quite full on arrival on a Monday evening and the restaurant busy but, after staying the night in the hotel, in the morning at a quiet breakfast, it seemed that most of those eating were locals so a good sign in my book!
