A couple of locals recommended this "trendy" bar/restaurant that is housed in an old firestation. It has hundreds of bourbons and whiskeys, and we should have just stuck to having a drink. But we wanted a little something to eat, and we tried a few dishes: from their "house made pickled items" we ordered the pickled chipotle eggs, which were a bad choice. They were strange..(and not in a good way.) We split the $25 brisket with two sides, and the brisket was incredibly fatty, and almost inedible. The mac n' cheese and collard greens were just OK. Unfortunately, unless you are stopping in for a drink, and can't find anywhere closer to where you are staying, I would not recommend seeking out The Silver Dollar.

Because someone in our party has some serious food allergy issues, Game came up as a possibility for a good meal with options for everyone. Three words: duck.fat.fries. Although these are not technically Paleo, they are amazing and there is also the option of sweet potato fries. Everything we had was wonderful. When a mistake had been made about one order, it was quickly and graciously corrected. They have a great beer selection and many options of meat which are all delicious, including a build-your-own burger. We came twice in the course of a three day visit, so I would say that is it worth repeat trips.

Sure, itâs a chain but the service was good tonight and the food came out quickly. Several of us had salads that were very filling. One of our group had chicken fingers that were more than enough. One had a huge burger and fries. Canât complain for a chain. Yes, they do have plenty of TVâs to watch sports so thereâs that.

Good variety of Beer and Food. Dante's Inferno burger was very good for those that like heat. Bison Burger was good for those that variety. Staff very friendly and courteous.

We went on a Tuesday night and it was pretty full on the restaurant side. We were quickly seated and offered drinks. They have great nightly specials on wine or food! We ordered the crab cakes for appetizer and then roasted duck and Parmesan crusted halibut for dinner. All were phenomenal! The fried chicken and burger came highly recommended from friends too.The menu ranges many price points from $15 fish sandwiches to +30$ plates. Very friendly and welcoming place for all ages. Great for a casual date night!

We were there about a week and a half ago. If you're looking for fancy, don't go! If your looking for GREAT smoked ribs, etc, this is THE place to get them! You won't go away hungry, either!

I know some say this is the real deal when it comes to BBQ in Louisville, but I humbly disagree. It is just okay, and the service is not impressive. Other BBQ restaurants within a 6-mile radius can be much better. Overall, I came here three times, the most I loved was their pulled pork. You definitely can try here, but awesome ribs and BBQ in general have better options in town.

The Rover is the real deal - You will love the atmosphere and the food! We had Shannon as our server and she was very attentive on a busy Friday night. The Fish and Chips are fabulous. Multiple beers and drinks complete the menu of Irish Fare. Finish dinner with a Rover Coffee! For small parties you can call ahead (30 Minutes) to get your name on the list.

I've been to Mesh many times, it's always enjoyable, but sometimes I like the menu more than others. Tonight was a hit! It was a Sunday night, so pretty quiet, but my table of 5 got good service and excellent food. I had a cocktail to begin, and the server recommended the Indian Hills Summer. Wow. New favorite cocktail. For a bourbon cocktail, it was so light and citrusy, perfect for the summer heat. For dinner I had the grilled red fish with coconut basmati rice, yellow curry, grilled pineapple relish and more. Again, pure excellence. The flavors were light, bright and spot on. Well done, Mesh. I'll be back very soon!

I had a 1/2 chicken dinner. The 2 sides were OK but the star of the meal was a 1/2 chicken BBQed & smoked. It was simply delicious. The portions were large enough that I took home 1/2 my meal.
