Best Perch on the St. Clair River - Best in view freighter pass here at the closest point from the lake to Detroit.
I have been going to the Voyager for many years and I have never once been disappointed in my meal. Their menu offers a wide selection of choices to satisfy everyone. On this visit I ordered their sautéed pickerel that was cooked to perfection! I highly recommend you order soup with your meal as they are all homemade and delicious. The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable and always very attentive. The decor may be a bit outdated but who cares what is hanging on the walls when you are surrounded by the magnificent view of the beautiful St. Clair River and all the boats and freighters passing by?

It was date night and I hadn't been there before. My husband said it was good. It was better than good! The Irish egg rolls were delicious! Then I ordered the mini Murphy's and Kev ordered the Murphy burger, we told our server we were going to share both our meals and to please cook both well because I am not a fan of pink like my husband. When she brought our food they had actually split both meals for us! I am not going to lie I was all giddy they had cut the burgers in half, even the odd onion ring so we had an even amount of everything on each plate! It was so cute! We had a great dinner with great service and we will definitely be returning! Thank you for a great experience!
Last year I said it lacked the ambience of a brewery, felt like a strip mall bar. With a bigger indoor space and enhanced outdoor seating, that's improved. However, the overwhelming smell of bleach cleaner moved us outside, not to mention turned our noses off. Last year I said the beer selection was too much IPA and APA. No change this year, and still mixing the War Water and Danny Boy beers, double listing them in beer apps. Website still needs a ton of work, doesn't even display right on my laptop. I applaud their investment in the local economy (Google), but negatives outweigh the positives. But most important is the beer (since they don't serve food). It's mediocre at best. Three different beers for 3 people, and we tried each others. Each was lacking to style. Much better choices elsewhere.

I thought some of the dinners were a bit pricey so we went with sandwiches and they were delicious. I usually can't eat a whole sandwich, but I ate the whole thing! So good & the bread was so fresh. We had very friendly service. We sat inside as it was a bit warm that day but they do have outdoor seating.

Great food and service. We left the guys there while we shopped and they had a great time. Then we returned for Monday dinner and it was packed. Once we ate we understood why they were so busy on a Monday, the special was beef or Rueben sliders which were fantastic and reasonable. We will return
