A cosy traditional scottish inn which is full of history and has a wide selection of home cooked food. The home made chips are particularly tasty . Serving a fine selection of wines and cask ale that change all the time. Friendly staff will greet you on a
We visited the Clachan on recommendation whilst staying at an Air BnB . Its a cosy pub/ restaurant. The selection of food was varied and the specials looked delicious. We opted for 2 of them. Wow. Both dishes were excellent and delicious. Deserts were equally difficult to choose from but what we went for didn't disappoint. 2 drinks, 2 mains and 2 deserts for under £50 was great value. So much so we booked again for the next night. Highly recommend.

Visited the Oak Tree Inn for lunch, a favourite place of ours for a day out. My wifeâs mother isnât keeping to good these days however the staff couldnât have been more helpful in allowing us to park close to the restaurant and preparing something for my mother-in-law which wasnât on the menu. This really made the difference for us. A great place with great staff in a great location. Thanks for looking after us.

I was there in august and it was really nice. We really enjoyed the creamy chicken. We had a good attention too. I would go back there so I recommend it!

This was the only meal in 7 days that I would say had enough vegetables and potatoes as part of the meal. Good value, able to buy a beer too, very welcome after a long hard walk!

Typical Shearings Value - but we thought revamped interiors most welcoming and well heated.Very good drinks package and excellent breakfasts.Kitchen could start using fresh vegetables instead of what looked/tasted like tinned catering.Portion control a bit precise - 1/2 inch of celery with Cheese & Biscuits (its not Caviar)In addition all toasters need to be switched on in the morning !Dining staff exceptional !Otherwise all good.

The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel is a traditional inn situated in the heart of one of Scotland's loveliest villages, Luss, just 24 miles from Glasgow within the Loch Lomond National Park. This beautiful Loch Lomond hotel remains true to its tradition as an 18th
We stayed at an other property and have eaten our dinner here. The drinks selection was good with local beers. The food, well, it could have been better. We had the salmon starter, which was OK. Then the hake with wild mushrooms (tiny piece of fish) and the venison pie (with a blob of mash, no vegetables). Then we had the cheeseboard, which was OK, too. Would have been better if some special or unique Scottish cheeses would have been offered. Service was also OK, though it was not easy to get the attention of the serving staff.

The restaurant was busy and there was live music on a Friday night. There is a varied menu and our group particularly liked the musselsas a starter. I The food was excellent and the portion of cod was very large and perfectly cooked.

Thé food has no taste. The rice served cold. I had the tiniest piece of salmon for 15 pound and the smallest dish of vegetables. It is a shame that a hotel that serves the hikers along the WHW uses his monopoly to serve such bad food for the hikers .Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are so sorry to read that you were not satisfied with your meal. We aim to have every dish served out to be enjoyed. Please be aware if you had voiced this to us we would have endeavoured to rectify the situation with an alternative meal. We hope to see you again.

Set in the old Ballyhennan Church with adjoining graveyard dating back to the 12th century, our restaurant can honestly claim to be a unique historical setting. The earliest recorded visitors to the glen we sit in, were no less the Vikings, who dragged th
Slanj won our hearts immediately when we walked in, with the recorded Scottish music playing in the background and the waiters in kilts. Someone, finally, gets it. We don't want to be blasted with warmed-over American pop music when we're going out for dinner in (in this instance) an old deconsecrated church in the middle of Scotland! The food was good, the waiter, in addition to wearing a kilt, was heads-up with a great sense of humor. We would go back in a heartbeat.
