Weâve gone twice on Sunday for lunch. Both times thereâs been light crowds but very slow food service. Iâve had two different Poboys and both were average. The crab cake was probably pre-frozen. This past time my husband and son both asked for burgers medium rare. Both came out well done after a 40 minute wait. Cute place but not worth the time and effort to get here.

Serving steak, fresh seafood, homemade Italian dishes and comfort foods in an elegant historic setting. Housed in the Gaylord building in downtown Lockport. We have a gorgeous outdoor patio overlooking the park that allows well behaved dogs to dine with t
We visited the Public Landing for the second time in February 2019. The restaurant offers charming atmosphere, as it's housed in an old 19th Century limestone building in downtown Lockport. The dining room is rustic, with stone and wood everywhereâ¦very cozy (see website photo)! On our first dinner visit, I liked it a lot, certainly enough to return. The second visit blew me away. To start, drinks are generous and fairly priced. The wine list, while not expansive, has some good options at reasonable prices, and many are available by the glass or bottle. As for the menu, it offers ample variety: salads, sandwiches, steaks, seafood, poultry, pork, even a little pasta. Entrees don't come with soup or salad, but those are reasonably priced at $4-5. I had a Caesar salad that was about as good as any. Our party of four focused on beef. The Mrs. and I both ordered the prime rib (which is only available on weekends). She had an end cut, while I asked for medium. Both were perfectly cooked and served with horseradish sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was easily the best prime rib I've enjoyed in a long time. (Yum!) As for our dining partners, he chose the rib eye. She selected the grilled salmon. Both were thoroughly satisfied. Our server was attentive and willing to accommodate the pace of our meal, even on a busy Saturday evening (we were in no hurry). If you dine on the weekend, a reservation is suggested.Really looking forward to a return visitâ¦highly recommended!

Met a friend for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the food and wine selection. Lots of different spins on traditional sandwiches, salads and flatbreads. Portions are very generous and food was made with fresh ingredients. The hummus appetizer is HUGE and good for 2-3 people. the pear salad looked fabulous. I had the chicken caprese sandwich without the bread and it was very good. Service attentive. Prices reasonable. Too chilly to sit outside but I bet in the summer it's a perfect spot.

The day we visited there happened to be a large golf tournament, and the grille was packed with patrons. It was lively and service was pretty good, but donât expect to hear conversation at your table! Menu is interesting with lots of tasty options and generous portions. Prices are fair. If there werenât 50 golf carts parked outside of the windows, there might be a nice view, too. I would return to this restaurant to try different meals because they looked inviting...hopefully not on a tournament day!

We went here at 11:30 for Brunch on Sunday. Restaurant was already getting busy but we were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered their Sangria which was Excellent! I ordered the Tangled up in Bleu Salad with great candied pecans and apples with roasted shallot vinaigrette dressing which was a bit spicy for me. My friend ordered the Grilled Romaine Salad with soft boiled egg, Parmesan, pickled onion and Caesar dressing which was good. Service was good and attentive.

Stopped for a couple beers and an appetizer. Good beer selection with craft options. Liked the spinach dip a lot. The interior is large, and there are pool tables. I imagine it is very lively at night but it was quiet at 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Service was great.

After my last local review of another place that had a terrible version of a Monte Cristo, I had to have a real one. Cheddar's never lets me down. they offer a great lunch combo, and just half a Monte Cristo is plenty, along with a fresh house salad. they have four other entrees that you can combine for a price of $7.99. I also had a coupon for a free Queso and chips, so I really ate well. I loved the hot cheese sauce, and the fresh chips. My salad had a variety of ingredients, including egg, cheese, carrots and croutons. The pomegranate balsamic dressing was a nice change. My only comment is that the croissant is about half the size that they used to serve. Still flaky, and so delish. Then came the perfect Monte Cristo, so thick, you need to use a fork and knife. A side if raspberry sauce for dipping, and a deep fried crispy outer coating to die for. The girl at the next table ordered the same thing. Something must be in the air. Service was great, and I will be back soon.

We came to the Tilted Kilt in Bolingbrook for dinner with family. There is easy access from I-55 and, then, in to and out of the parking lot. We ordered the chips, guacamole and salsa for an appetizer. The guacamole was good and the chips were crispy and thin. We ordered the extremely large pub pretzel for an entree which came with three different dipping sauces - Fat Tire Ale beer cheese sauce, a honey mustard sauce and a pepper jack cheese sauce. The pretzel was warm and the sauces were very tasty. We also ordered the chili spaghetti with two meatballs and garlic bread. I thought that also tasted good. I did like the idea that they did offer 1/2 orders, but only on the lunch menu. My opinion - they should offer the half orders, as not everyone wants to eat a huge dinner, some prefer a light dinner and a heavy lunch, possibly due to work, traveling or a health condition, i.e. diabetes, so it might be something to consider. Our server, Darilyn, was personable, attentive and efficient. We also had the occasion to listen to the entertainment - the dueling keyboards of "Double Treble". We both thought that they were really good, though the one song that they partially play for a soundcheck should be added to their playlist.

Lively Chicago Bears sports bar with over 40 televisions plus big screens to view all Chicago teams. Official Chicago Black Hawks bar. Full bar and menu including; burgers, beef, poorboy variety of sandwiches, wraps, flat breads, pizza, wings, along with
Kinda crowded when we arrived about 6 pm, then they did some kind of raffle and a lot of the people left. We hung around and ordered a pizza and a southwest chicken salad. Both came out well prepared and in a very reasonable time. Only drawback for me we the lack of much craft beer choices.

Scottish inspired, American made. Located in the new clubhouse at Mistwood Golf Club. With handcrafted & locally sourced cuisine, featuring steaks, chops & signature sandwiches. A full list of spirits, craft beers and wine compliment the cuisine.
This was my first time trying this beautiful restaurant and it didn't disappoint. My girlfriend and her husband had tried it previously and she thought we might like it. The food, service and ambiance were top notch. The view of the golf course on a nit so pleasant Saturday was spectacular. We definitely want to return when the weather is nicer and everything is green. We thought the prices were very fair and we were able to relax and enjoy catching up with each other.
