Rapid City has long been considered one of the gateways to the West, and its rich cowboy and Native American heritage is the result. Visitors won't want to miss the area's mammoth outdoor sculptures. There's Mount Rushmore, of course, but work also continues on the nearby Crazy Horse Memorial, which will be the largest sculpture in the world when it is finally completed years down the line. Among the many local attractions are the scenic Black Hills, several nearby cavern systems that offer guided tours and the South Dakota Air and Space Museum.

It has been four days since I ate at Thirsty's and I am still relishing in that Oriental salad. When we first ordered, I was very disappointed they didn't have liquor since I hate beer. I thought fine, I'll just have water. Then I decided to go full on healthy and get a salad and call the night a total loss. Well, I was in for a surprise! That salad was AWESOME. I have never had a salad like it. Cabbage? Usually eew but here it was great! The almonds, the weird crouton-like things, the dressing...loved it! I can't recommend it enough. Oh yeah...boyfriend's burger, patio, service, all good but who cares - get that salad!

We stayed at the Hotel Alex Johnson for three nights, and enjoyed cocktails at the Vertex each night. On the first night we ate in their restaurant, which proved to be a wonderful experience (topped only by our dinner at Tally's Silver Spoon, which is across the street). The rooftop views of downtown and the Black Hills are very nice, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. We give Vertex a Big Thumbs Up.Hi Paul Z, Thank you so much for the kind words. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit with us and Rapid City. Please visit us again whenever you are in our area.

Experience the comfort of a neighborhood pub and a sip of smooth Irish whiskey or fine foreign beer at Paddy O'Neill's. From our copper topped bar, rich dark wood furnishings, live entertainment, video lottery, and our member's only engraved pewter mugs,
He wanted a Guinness and I wanted to hang out some more so we went downstairs and found a high top table. It was busy and had live music which was awesome. The servers were friendly and were fine with us shifting midway to an outside table. There was a good selection of beer on tap and I tried something new - raspberry sour beer from Sioux Falls. Canât remember the name cause Iâd already had a mixed drink at another bar. It was ok. I prefer mixed drinks. He likes the IPA he had here better than at the other bar and the Guinness hit the spot. We also ordered cheese curds for an appetizer. It was a little more fried than we liked but it was still yummy. Nice being able to sit outside as it was less crowded and more quiet. The weather was nice enough that we enjoyed people watching and relaxing. Would come back. HiThanks for coming in and we are happy that you enjoyed your visit. The raspberry sour beer on tap was called Fernson Raspberry Curio. Hope to see you back soon.-mgt

Come in and enjoy a variety of fresh selections that are crafted with you in mind. We offer a full bar and we take reservations. We have an excellent garden bar that is always packed with only the freshest selections. Many locals say we have the best ribs
I have always had nothing but great meals at Ruby Tues, particularly at this location. But this meal was an exception. My ribs were very well cooked but I really didn't care for the Nashville Hot sauce I chose. Perhaps another sauce would have made a big difference. And the Cole slaw was just not good at all - very odd flavor. The brocholli was good enough. My wife had the chicken parmigiana and it looked bad. The chicken wasnt pounded thin so they had to cook it too long to get it done. It was borderline burned. There was just enough sauce to cover it and not much cheese at all. Looked amateurish to me. My wife said the taste wasnt good. She never uses much sauce on her pasta so when she complains that her pasta didn't have enough sauce on it then you know it's not good. I think she was looking for extra sauce to cover the poor flavor of the chicken. But her brocholli was ok. We were both a bit disappointed with our food. Service was fairly slow as well. We had speculated that we may have to wait the entire 3 hours while they slow cooked the ribs. Fortunately, that prediction did not come true. But obviously we had to wait for the chicken to burn.

Our goal is to take all the welcoming & inviting attributes of a local pub, & combine it with the passion, creativity & selection more typically found in a modern restaurant. We have 26 beers on tap, cocktails inspired by the top list in the country, & un
Was staying at the Rushmore up the street and came in for dinner one night. Had the Dakota BBQ sandwich which was excellent. The watermelon jalepeno sauce on it was excellent just a tad spicy. Also got a good local Gose. Sat at the bar but they have a large seating area and seating is also available on the patio in nice weather.

My wife and I won a gift card to Minervas. The food was excellent and flavorful. The Atmosphere is quite and relaxing. The over all cost was reasonable. If you don't mind spending $40 for a couples night out, this is the place.

Our first day of visiting family in Rapid City we came to Colonial House for lunch. Arrived near 1:00 and thankful there was no wait. We had the turkey dip w/slaw, fish sandwich w/slaw and club sandwich w/fries. Got plenty of food, the slaw was good & crunchy (to my liking) and the fish sandwich had 3 pieces of cod w/lettuce, tomato and pickles - all very good. Great restaurant and not too noisy so it made our visit easier. Would recommend and return. (if our time allows) Very kind staff in front as I was leaving an employee heard me asking about the local fishery and she helped me look at the maps they supply. Really appreciated her helpful attention - it's refreshing to meet friendly staff members.

The cornerstone of the establishment is a massive coal-fired oven (nearly 10 feet wide) that glows with a combination of dancing gas flames and red-hot coal that will be highly visible both inside and outside of the restaurant. This provides an incredible
I came to Kol on a semi slower Tuesday evening. The building caught my attention right away as the design and modern ambiance was very beautiful. we dined at the bartop, where we discovered we could order food, too. The bartender Akeisha was friendly, welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to make our drinks just how we liked them! The food was excellent as well. I ordered the shrimp tacos as well as the Mediterranean salad, and it was all very great. compliments to the chef and serving staff!

Only negative to complain about was we had to sit at the bar. They were FULL. And it was right in front of the tap beers dispensers. So there was a STRONG smell of beer. (surprise surprise lol) that is not their fault. We could have waited for a table. The waitresses were great and the foot was OUTSTANDING. Definately worth another visit in the futureThank you so much for your great review! Please give us the opportunity to serve you again soon!

The first real tap room in Rapid City, an oasis for beer afficianados.
Really enjoyed the delicious cheesy, garlic bread to start. The Cesar salad was enough for 2 to share. Yummy dressing and lots of shaved parmesan on top. The 'Cardiac Arrest' pizza was outstanding: thin and crispy crust with tons of toppings. The server was excellent and suggested a beer that Hubby really enjoyed. I'd love to visit this gem again!
