Obviously, this is a chain, so youâre going to get what you should expect. That being said, we were very pleased. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She came back to the table several times and anticipated our needs.Food was also good. Granted we were there for a late lunch, so it wasnât busy, but they were prompt and the food was excellent.

At our new downtown Provo restaurant, enjoy contemporary American comfort food classics reinterpreted with a modern twist, revealing a dining experience that is at once welcoming, cheery, and inspiring.
We had an early dinner at Slate ... the planked trout for one of us and a chicken Caesar for the other. Both were nicely prepared and flavorful. The Caesar had more chicken than we expected for the price ... and the trout was excellent. Not long on atmosphere, but great on flavor and service.
If you enjoy a drink then your options in Provo are rather circumscribed. However ABG's does the business with a good selection of bottled beer and draught beer by the pint or stein, and a good selection of spirits. Good atmosphere on a Friday night with live music and a small cover ($6). The general air of uptight sphincter clenching in the surrounding environs of Provo add a froth of transgressive pleasure to the drinks. Drink here now before someone burns it down.
