Too bad the food and service do not match the ambiance. While it's cool to see all the Princeton memorabilia and photos of famous graduates, the food is uneven at best. Folks in our group who had a burger or the wings were moderately happy. However, the Rib Eye Steak was returned because it was close to raw and then was too tough to eat (after a complaint to the manager it was taken off the bill). The Taco Salad was just plain boring. Our server disappeared for long periods. In the nice weather it's enjoyable to eat outside in the courtyard. Since I do like the pub atmosphere of the Tap Room, I will probably go back, but only to have a beer and an appetizer. Thank you for the review we appreciate your patronage and look forward to seeing you soon..We are always working on improving our food and level of service.

With a relaxed, sportscentric atmosphere, a seemingly endless assortment of local, craft and import beers, and an inventive menu of American tavern fare, Brick House Tavern + Tap offers guests a truly next generation "gastro pub" experience. Its flavors a
Grabbed a burger with co-workers during March Madness. Place was packed, found a place at the bar. Bartenders were a little frazzled, understandably, given the crowd. Lamb burger was quite good. Colleague had fish and chips which were excellent. Not cheap eats, but not overly expensive; portions are great. Would definitely go back.

The Dinky Bar & Kitchen is a neighborhood gathering place offering craft beer, unique cocktails and small production wines. Featuring ingredient-driven, locally sourced snacks and small plates, we are open seven days a week and feature a seasonal outdoor
Itâs always a fun and relaxing time here. Their bar food far surpasses the norm plus they offer vegetarian/vegan options. Somehow their soft pretzel is the best pretzel you will ever have. Try it and see for yourself. Their homemade soups are delicious and filling (tomato bisque, cauliflower purée). The vegetarian nachos are really good and feature pumpkin seed mole, smoked tofu and pomegranate salsa. A definite win. Their craft cocktails are phenomenal, too. Friendly, unhurried service in a historic train station. Whatâs not to like?

The Alchemist & Barrister, one of the prides of Princeton, NJ. Enjoy our excellent selection of beer and cocktails. Our menu features American dishes with a little international flair. Stay for drinks and dinner and enjoy your dining experience at The Alc
Friends suggested this establishment, which, based on years ago experience of dining here would have said no, but it has been redone, they said, Well, the old lipstick on the pig trick inevitably is still a pig, so to speak. Had the fried chicken sandwich...two tiny pieces of chicken, barely any condiment, mushy tomato slices, dark green romaine sliver, fries that were happy to be unfrozen and on a plate, but not in my mouth; the Cobb salad, amazingly off...just a bunch of food items plopped on a plate, so looked ok from a presentation standpoint, but tasteless. Seriously, this place has been around for years, so I guess its convenient locale must compensate for its culinary experience. Lots of new spots in Princeton that I havenât tried, but if I had one lunch to give, wouldnât do it here.

Okay place to grab some drinks & appetizers. We reached just as they started happy hour and had half-price on quite a number of drinks and appetizers. We had the firecracker shrimp, chicken quesadillas, tostones, jibaritos, coconut shrimp & chicken wings. None of theM felt particularly Caribbean- all blend with little bite, but they had Tabasco sauce which helped. We were seated in the bar area and service was so-so. They took the initial order right away, but slowed down quite a bit for refills even though only 5-6 tables were occupied. Average experience.

Winberieâs offers a comfortable, casual dining experience where the richness of true American flavors blend with the quality of a classic neighborhood restaurant. Our authentic small plates, house-made specialties, small batch liquors and extensive craft
This is a place no one can miss when visiting Princeton, NJ. In fact, I have been returning to Winberie's since 1988. This place represents classical American Food to me, the place is vibrant, right in front of the University's main entrance and in the heart of the city Palmer Square). This time though, we have had an unpleasant service experience, it was a rainy evening outside and we were looking for a cozy place to be. The bad service was a shocking surprise to me, because although the huge turnover of the restaurant the service is generally quite nice. I decided to share my disappointment through their website so I have dropped an e-mail to Mr. Cole (Area Manager) the same evening and the next morning I had a proper answer in my mailbox offering me the chance to talk further about the issue. The way Mr. Cole tackled the issue showed me his professionalism and interest in guest satisfaction and had erased completely my only bad service experience in 32 years. Good job Mr. Cole, you are an asset to the company. See you next time!

Took my daughter and her boyfriend out to dinner. We were greeted well and shown to our table immediately; had made a reservation a few days ahead. The restuarant wasn't crowded and service was good. We all had the coffee encrusted steak at my daughter's suggestion. She had it during a previous visit and raved. Well turned out the steak was worth the price; enjoyed it tremendously. Atmosphere is fine if you have good company, otherwise a bit boring. But may have live music on the weekend, not sure. They do have a lovely double fireplace which can be utilized from the outside front area; nice for a few friends to gather in the fall for tapas or drinks.

First off, what r those fries they make? Iâve never heard about âpommes annaâ before. They r freaking delicious!!! That was the highlight of our lunch.Apart from the sliders, everything we ordered was fantastic. My honey balsamic eggplant was out of this world! My hubby loved his buttermilk chicken sandwich and my friend enjoyed her steak frites (thatâs how we all tried the pommes anna). We also got hummus as an app. Delishh too!Beer was great, despite the fact that mine wasnât cold enough. I really liked this place. Would come back for sure.

One point of aggression that I found very frustrating is that we intentionally met at 5 PM to enjoy their reasonably priced happy hour and still we treating 9 guests to dinner with our table reservationâso they knew they would make their money from us. But the waiter refused to serve us the Happy Hour drink specials at our table and said it was for bar service only. We said okayâweâll order our 3 drinks at the bar but want to bring them to the table since we are hosting six guests and want to be at our table when they arrive. The waiter said that would not be allowed. If the drink is ordered at the bar it must be consumed at the bar, not taken to a dining table. So then he proceeded to talk my colleagues into expensive glasses of wine from the non-Happy Hour menu. In a spirit of priests, I waited until Happy Hour was over before ordering my full price wine. UGH!The food was okay. The tuna avocado martini smelled fishy and a few of our guests tried a bite but that appetizer went pretty much uneaten. The bread was a decent sourdough, but when the basket ran out no one refilled it. That said, my entree of beef short ribs was fantastic! Heavy with the mashed potatoes, but really tender, not fatty, and super flavorful. So a 2 for service and a 4 for foodâquality varied by what people ordered.

Fantastic menu! Huge number of choices. Great lunch specials of half flatbread and soup. Amazing avocado toast and salads! Crazy cute desserts for three dollars were a steal! Sat at a booth and talked the afternoon away! Truly special food! Highly recommend! Hope to return soon!
