A traditional bar with contemporary touches serving great food, tank beer and entertainment 7 days a week!
Came here for our friend's birthday/engagement celebration. Danni's service was absolutely fantastic, she even brought out a gluten free dessert specially for our friend - we all tried it and it was delicious! The veggie selections were really good and unusual, the broccoli and chickpea sandwich was lovely. We'll definitely be back soon!

Light, bright and bang in the centre of town. Treehouse is well suited for all day eating and drinking, or relaxing in our cool urban garden - a hidden oasis in heart of Ayr.Open from 9am for breakfast, delicious coffees and freshly baked pastries, Treeho
My wife and I had lunch on Saturday and the food was lovely. What made our lunch special was our waitress, Holly, rarely have we found someone so pleasant and helpful. These are not, in my opinion, qualities that can be taught. Holly is a natural and made our experience all the more enjoyable, treat her well Buzzworks

We visited with another couple having all happened to be off on a Monday. The venue wasn't overly busy but two courses took over hour and half to serve four of us. When the dishes came they were average, I only had one course so was disappointed by the time my main came having waited so long from orders, to starters and eventually getting main courses. When we paid the bill, the server then struggled to half the bill in two and one of us had to tell her while she trying to half around £60. Disappointed compared to previous visits and other recommendations.

Definitely some staff training required here! Called in for lunch and the food was good. Both had the lentil soup which had great flavour but was a tiny portion and barely covered the bottom of the plate. For mains had the sole which was slightly dry and the sea bass which was by far the favourite. Service was really poor, waited ages for the soup to arrive and eventually had to chase this up, also had to go looking for a waitress to pay the bill.

If a waiter or waitress tells you â take care the plates are really hotâ , what is your assumption ?Two steaks in our party were :Not cooked to the preference Inedible My wife and I had microwaved pasta, gold on the top, white underneath. If you want to book this place for food, ask if there they are catering for a wedding at the same time.Wonât be back, my stomach deserves better.Dear MannyPee,Thank you for your review. I am disappointed to read most of your negative reviews seem to be based on Troon. We operate 2 kitchens, 1 for the weddings and 1 for the other 2 restaurants. A wedding doesn't affect the operation of the main kitchen. Your table was quality checked and no comment was made about any concerns.I feel this review is excessive and not a true reflection of the hotel. We would ask anyone reading this review to please check the other reviews without prejudice and make up their own mind.Yours sincerely,Karel KuhlerManaging Director

Went here for early evening meal with a friend The staff were helpful and friendly.Unfortunately I didnât enjoy my meal Had nachos to start , they seemed to have been heated up in micro wave or under very hot grill and were dry and basically âgluedâ together My main course was Cajun chicken penne pasta There was loads of chicken through the dish which was good to see but I didnât feel there was much flavour. Size wise all the dishes were plentiful My friends son had chicken tempura as his main and although huge cleared his plate The chips were tasty Maybe I was just unlucky but Iâm not tempted back.

We spend about a week every month in Ayr, and in the past couple of years, usually eat at the Waterfront at least once during those weeks. The food is good, but it seems obvious to us that management has slipped over the past 6 months or so. If you book a table - donât expect to get what you asked for! Service some days is poor - because they are clearly understaffed for the numbers. We always book - but suspect many do not, and the staff are caught unawares. Also - in hot weather, low ceiling means the restaurant is very stuffy inside. Menu usually changes regularly - but has been the same all summer - and frankly - not really what I want, so has become a bit boring.

What a great place. We were welcomed by friendly staff and attended to efficiently. Pleased to find this place is really dog friendly with sensible seating arrangements. Drinks reasonably priced and the food was excellent. Kathleen served up our food which was cooked to perfection and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed their home made "tatties and mash". We all agreed it is one of our favourites and look forward to our next visit to this well run pub.

We both visited this fairly large Wetherspoon's on the 30th, the tasteful decor was about aviation/golf, staff were pleasant and helpful, the toilets, were also tastefully decorated and very clean were unusually on th level so no up and down stairs.
