Settle by the open fire or enjoy lunch on a sunny terrace where you will always be greeted with a warm welcome. Twin Farms offers customers a relaxed venue for eating well-cooked dishes accompanied by an excellent choice of beer and wine.
We love this place. The staff are always first class. Our waitress was fab accommodating my need for vegetables and veggie gravy even though not on evening menu. Husband had gammon steak which he said was best ever. They have a fizz friday on so 2 glasses of prosecco is 5 pounds so all in all a great place to go. Decor immaculate too.

Weâve dined at M&C regularly across the restaurants in the north east, but have been a regular at this one since it opened. Our last visit (August) was nice, but we were let down by the rather tiny but overpriced starter. However, we do enjoy it here so decided to book for Friday night. We were promptly seated and orders taken reasonably quickly. The waitress was very welcoming and pleasant and our drinks and meals arrived quickly. Due to our poor experience with the starter sharing board last time, we opted for a garlic bread which was nice and did the job for two of us. However, the steaks were rather on the fatty side and the onion loaf was rather small and dry. We also ordered medium/well and (again) they arrived incredibly well done. We did notice that the lettuce wedge was slightly smaller than weâve been served before, and the dressing was a little sparse. We comment that the whole meal seemed to be smaller than previous visits. Itâs also a nuisance that you canât use the rewards on the app over the weekend.Unfortunately, I donât think weâll be racing back to this M&C, which is a real shame as the atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly and efficient. Weâve had some lovely meals here, but sadly been disappointed by the last two times weâve dined here.

Got time to spare before catching your plane? With the airport just 200 metres from Thyme, you might well have. So hop on the Newcastle Metro and check out this bustling city. With a castle and cathedral, museums and art galleries, theatres and shops, you

Iâve had two visits here recently and neither lived up to the hype. The first was a Saturday night and I opted for the scotch egg starter which was very good. The main course was the Thai red curry and it was a serious disappointment. Tinned tomatoes with a bit of cream and loads of chilli in it, along with chicken does not constitute a curry. It was bad, as was the microwaved rice and soft prawn crackers it was served with. The Apple pie and custard afterwards was ok but did lack a little flavour. The staff were good and fixed a bill problem without question. My second visit was a work meal and I opted for the fish and chips. The fish was OK but the chips were an issue. They were either very soft and greasy or they were really undercooked, I suspect the oil was nowhere near hot enough. A colleague had chips with his main course and also said the same of his. Both times though the people I was with opted for the braised beef and both said it was very good.A lovely setting and good staff, but the food needs serious work to get it up to an acceptable standard. Such a pity.

The Seven Stars is an inviting place for friends and family to meet and enjoy a drink including award winning real ales along with great entertainment. Over the years the Seven Stars, in Ponteland, Northumberland, has welcomed regulars including Alan Shea
I have visited the Seven Stars many times over the years, as have family and friends, indeed we even held a large gathering there earlier this year after the death of my son. Food offerings have come and gone but we have remained loyal, however today I was bitterly disappointed. Late morning there was clearly a sign outside the pub advertising coffee and cake so my daughter drove myself and my grandson into the car park. There were a couple of barrels positioned at the entrance but with significant distance between them. We presumed the intention was to stop large vehicles from parking in the car park area, where space is at a premium. No sooner had we opened the car doors than a grumpy gentleman appeared to tell us there was no parking allowed as the area was cordoned off for deliveries. I followed the 'gentleman' into the pub to explain that this had not been clear (I wanted to avoid other visitors having the same inconvenience) and was met by extreme rudeness. Apparently anyone who could drive properly should have known the car park was shut etc, etc...presumably a sexist retort. I explained that we had been going to eat there but in view of his attitude would not; he replied that they didn't offer food anyway. Obviously the coffee and cake sign was out of date! Awful experience. We went over the road to the Blackbird and were much more warmly welcomed.

Was a regular customer at the poachers cottage, this place has gone down hill staff rude and not friendly, the food can not be faulted excellent menu wait time normally good 5* food quality. Just a shame the waitress are so unhelpful rude and just unpleasant. Will not be back such as shame as so much competition in the area and if your staff continue like this you will lose a lot of your customers to other local pubs. Hello,Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we appreciate all feedback positive and negative. We are sorry that you feel this way about our staff team, however we are so happy and proud of our team and the outstanding service they provide and this is so often commented on by our customers and we believe, along with great home cooked food, is what sets us apart from our competitors. We are certainly not as you say âgoing down hillâ we have never been busier and that is a testament to the entire team. Again thank you for your comments, you are more then welcome to an opinion and we hope you do return to visit us at some point in the future.Kind Regards Terri and Alan Ridley

A luxury bar with fantastic food in the heart of Ponteland Welcome to Yolo - a new social experience for Ponteland. Whilst we serve great food we are first and foremost a bar serving amazing cocktails, wines, spirit, champagne and coffees 10am till midnig
Regularly visit Yolo, mainly for drinks or coffee. Four of us went early evening for drinks and food. We opted for the pizza, 2-4-1 on Wednesdays. I can honestly say they were the worst pizzas I have ever been served. The bbq chicken was disgusting with what looked like sauce from a jar poured over a measly bit of dry chicken. We enjoyed our drinks and get together but will give the food a miss in future. As with other reviews I have also experienced long waits when ordering coffee.

The menu and layout is the same as any other in the Vintage Inn chain which makes things comfortably familiar. Here the staff were also very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dough sticks to share as a starter but after that the standard of the food (we had the fixed price dinner menu) was however frustratingly poor. The fish and chips were barely mediocre (dry pasty fish in way too much batter coating, poor quality ingredients) and Hunters Chicken disappointing. Artificial tasting sauces. We waited a long time for it to arrive and although our waitress was lovely Iâm afraid the product was inferior. Much more effort needed by the management to uphold standards in the kitchen.Good morning Mr/Mrs Munchkin.I'm sorry that you found your recend dining experience "formulaic" but as I'm sure you can appreciate, being part of a chain of pubs, our dishes must follow and meet a certain specification to standardise our menu across the brand, ensuring a constant level of high quality.I'm saddened to see, on this particular visit to a Vintage Inn that you did not enjoy the same high quality that you are accustomed to. My first visit to the Blackbird for Sunday lunch with family members was an enjoyable experience and I would return.Excellent food and service, Yorkshire pudding were huge, lots of vegetables cooked just right and the turkey was tasty, just lovely. The starter of duck parfait excellent. Everything is clean and well presented, sat in the bar area which is nicely decorated and there is a beautiful area upstairs for dining and another restaurant area in the pub. The Blackbird has my vote for best food in Ponteland and definitely worth a visit. Wow, thank you for your fantastic review Jackie! It's great to hear we won your vote for the best food in Ponteland - We look forward to seeing you again soon, the Blackbird team
