It is situated between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. The city gained prominence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as an active anthracite coal mining city, drawing a large portion of its labor force from European immigrants. The population was 7,739 as of the 2010 census, making it the fourth largest city in Luzerne County. At its peak in 1920, the population of Pittston was 18,497. The city consists of three sections: The Downtown (in the center of the city), the Oregon Section (in the southern end), and the Junction (in the northern end). Pittston City is at the heart of the Greater Pittston region (a 65.35 square mile region in Luzerne County). Greater Pittston has a total population of 48,020 (as of 2010).

Truly a hidden gem. Found on TripAdvisor we just moved to the area. The fig flatbread was delicious, I had the filet with Gouda crab sauce best steak I ever had. My girlfriends all enjoyed there meals. Fun martini and cocktail list. When my girls return to Wilkes Barre they already are making plans to return.

Rooms need update and much better housekeeping ,lots of noise,a couple fights in hall and bar areas.Not what it used to be,was "The place to go in this part of Luzern County"but now "The place to avoid.Shuttle service dropped off guests at TGIF, then Holiday inn Express then us(I guess to get more tips which isn't fair to other establishments or to guest staying at Woodlands.Will never return.

A must for true Steeler Fans. Great Steeler atmosphere from floor to ceiling. Very good homemade pizza and great service. Perfect place to cheer on the Steelers. Easy parking and good value.

Passed by this restaurant many times and finally stopped to celebrate a friend's birthday,So happy, had excellent meals and service! Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Francese were so good! Also homemade desserts to finish off a fine meal! I eat out often, will be back!

The staff are so friendly, the food is incredible, & Andy is so amazing! I've never experienced anything but a great time, with lots of fun! They're also so accommodating with both my disabilities & my service dog because she's only 15lbs, & requires her own seat. Highly recommend Brews Brothers, for a Fab night out!

I had an event at the Tomato Bar, upstairs on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We were provided a limited menu. steak tips in a wine sauce, chicken scampi, vegtable medley, pasta, and a bunch of other stuff. All of it was great, atmosphere great, server / bartender Noah was great. Would not hesitate to have another dinner here

We have gotten take out a few times from Tipsy Turtle. Their prices are a bit high. I was also upset that we were charged for take out containers. I felt we were nickel and dimed. Dinner specials are only applicable for dining in, which isnât fair to those of us with multiple small children who canât easily dine out. The food is good, but nothing fabulous.
