Reviews on Bar food in Peyia, Paphos District, Cyprus. Pegeia (also spelt Peyia; Greek: Πέγεια) is a town in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Pegeia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay, at the southern end of the Akamas Peninsula, and it lies 14 km north of Paphos. It has a large population of British ex-pats and a growing number of holiday homes and apartments. In the town centre can be found a town hall, church, police station and several small shops, restaurants and banks. Due to its hillside location many parts of the town offer views over Coral Bay and Paphos.

Situated just 500 metres from Coral Beach, you will find The Frog & Toad, a typically English pub. Friendly to all who step through the doors and a place you can bring your family. We don't pretend to be something we are not and our aim is to provide you w
We have been coming to Coral Bay for many years and have used the F&T for beers and lunch on occasion. The establishment is local, food is pub food and good and the beer is cold. What else could we want I hear you ask!?Well many of the waitresses here are quite unfriendly and depressed looking (apart from Deborah who is very cheery, friendly and happy to help). The main reason we feel that. the majority of staff look unhappy is the manager. We have also noticed he talks to people like regulars, but not those who just drop in now and then, I feel this is a mistake, it would be nice to see him smile now and again too and mingle and have a conversation with all his customers! The main reason for the poor score is what I have mentioned above but also about the following:- every day for the past couple of weeks a Russian family have been eating and drinking in the restaurant at lunch time. They complain every day, look miserable and are rude to the staff we have noticed time and time again, but the manager cannot do enough offering his time, conversation and offering them a table for each Sunday lunch in F&T. Canât do enough for them but ignoring other customers. Example of this is:- We were in for a light lunch. We asked for a roll and sausage x2, as did other customers, also orders for burgers but were told there were no rolls they hadnât been ordered. Staff also approached the manager, he was drinking a pint and didnât seem bothered. We had to take a sandwich instead and other guests ordered other options..... HOWEVER, the Russian family then came in and asked for burgers for lunch. The staff then informed the boss, and guess what, he left in his car and came back with rolls! I find this completely infuriating and was very annoyed. Managing a bar is not easy, we understand this, but this behaviour is not appreciated by other diners and we certainly were not the only diners noticing this behaviour! And a smile doesnât cost much either!Thank you for taking the time to write and record you findings on each occasion you visited our establishment. We have taken on board everything that has been said. Its very sad that you have found us unfriendl but I can assure you that our staff are happy to be part of our team, even when under extreme pressure. Our staff work extremely hard right through the summer session in high temperatures without complaining but even the best staff can have moments of lapse. We trust you will continue to enjoy your time in Cyprus and hope that the times in the Frog haven't tainted your holiday in any way.

G&T's @ Namos by is a cosy bar, restaurant that caters great simple tasty English and Mediterranean meals for locals and visitors alike. Meat, Fish and Vegetarian. Come and pay us a visit.
Despite being on a busy road the atmosphere hides the effects of traffic and the meal was very pleasant. It is very well presented, and cooked, with the owners always looking out for how they can assist, without being overbearing. Place settings are well done and not consisting of cheap looking items. There is a good choice of food, and the all inclusive 3 course sunday lunch is very good valueDear David,We've only recently gone back to our Sunday Lunch as we replace it during the hot summer months with some lighter choices. Autumn and winter are about to kick in so I know that a lot of our regular guests will be delighted to see the Sunday Roast back on the menu. Glad you liked it.Thank you for taking the time to write in and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Kind Regards,Garry & TracyG&T's @ Namos

Chalkie's Bar is a British owned and operated bar in the heart of Coral Bay , serving reasonably priced drinks and meals. Our Breakfast is the envy of all our competitors and a major hit with our regular customers and tourists alike. Served from 9.00am un
Horrible food- Not family friendlyWhen you walk in to a place and the waitress is sitting there drinking frappe and smoking a vape! then she gets up to serve you.I went with my family including two children. We were not impressed on arrival but the kids were really hungry so we just decided to give it a go.We sat inside because the tables outside were all full of smokers, so we were forced to sit inside, as didnât want the kids inhaling the smoke, so itâs not really family friendly! We got breakfast, but I have to admit the portions are very small, and itâs not even cooked properly! The eggs definitely needed another minute or two, still slimy, the bacon had white bits on it where the grill hadnât been cleaned out properly, the beans were cold, and half a tomato!Looking around the place, it was disorganised, no napkins on the table, the windows are that dirty you canât even see out of them! Not a pleasant experience wonât be going again.Sometimes we reed our reviews and take them on face value, other times we look a little deeper and find out that some people are just malicious.Firstly, staff do not smoke or vape at the front of the bar, they all have to go to the back door area in the car park.Every bar, restaurant in Europe allows smoking outside, we are no exception so by your standards then every establishment is not "Family Friendly". We don't make the laws, we just apply them. You suggest that our portions are small when every other review states how big our portions are!! Our standard breakfast consists of 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, Baked beans, grilled tomato, 1 slice of fried bread and one thick cut slice of toast. Our large breakfast consists of two eggs, two bacon, 2 sausages, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and thick cut toast. Hardly small portions are they? You mention no napkins on the table, if you had actually been here and eaten you would have known that they are brought to the table with the cutlery!!And to your final point, we have a window cleaner who comes every Saturday and cleans all the folding glass doors as we do not have any windows!! The doors are all opened and folded back on themselves at 9 am when we open and they remain that way until 2am when we close them at the end of the night. So if you had been in the bar you would have known that there are no windows. Finally It is my opinion that you have not eaten at Chalkie's you are simply putting a review on to effect our business which is a very sad thing to do.In summary, customers smoking outside is not an issue within our control as legally they are entitled too. Our portions are not small as proven above, all our reviews state how good our food is but you have decided that it's not cooked properly. You mention no napkins when clearly they are brought to you with your cutlery and then you state that our windows are dirty when we don't have any!! Really!!!!

We are having a week in Coral Bay, Cyprus and have visited Dionysos most nights. The food has been fantastic. The steaks are so good. The staff are lovely, friendly and very efficient. As well as having all the sport on, they also have entertainment most nights. We were lucky enough to be in when they had Elvis Shmelvis on. It was a fabulous night. Would definitely recommend that you pay Dionysos a visit when you are in Coral Bay.

ONIRO By The Sea is an original chillout bar with spectacular sea caves views where you can find delicious bites, original cocktails and refreshing ideas.
I have not been here for some years as I have tended to visit family over christmas when it is closed. But this October it was a happy chance - with warm weather and a lovely lunch. It was busy but it is well staffed and quite efficient. Food was freshly prepared and excellent. A great escape too from the Pie and Chips brigade in Coral bay.
