The friendly staff is always accommodating and helpful. I visit weekly for private, one-on-one conversations and am given ample space in the backroom, regardless of how much (or little) we order. For that alone, I am a huge fan.Additionally, the wait-staff treats every guest like a VIP. I feel like George Brett walking in to Chappell's.The reason for the Royals reference is because Chappell's has a HUGE sports memorabilia collection. You could spend days (maybe weeks) just inspecting all of the sports history, including the KC Athletics, Monarchs, and Kings!Even for those of us not into sports, Chappell's is a great restaurant.
I can't believe this exact model isn't copied and duplicated in every major city. Food was good, service was fine, etc.The games are awesome. They had an excellent selection of old stand up arcade games. I was counting on needing a bunch of quarters, but I was wrong.A $6 admission and the games are limitless (except pinball)Kids never got bored and I would live there if they let me.

Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Kansas City? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang out,
Was on a road trip with my wife decided to grab a quick dinner in Zona Rosa. For starters we had a seat ourselves. Then we waited. Fairly unattentive service. Most of the servers were chitchatting at the bar.We ordered beverages and my wifeâs beverage came complete with a large gnat clinging to one of the limes hanging from her glass. We had to send it back.Server comped that beverage. We ordered potstickers and cauliflower for an appetizer. The potstickers were great but the cauliflower was literally tasteless. Then we ordered the short ribs to share and they were spectacular! I know this is a mixed review but I would probably not go back. Just seems like they need to get some things together. First, thank you for your patronage and also for the opportunity to learn of your feelings regarding your recent experience with us. Clearly you are upset so please know that I very much respect your being disappointed. As a business that works very hard at demonstrating reliable service, I am sorry that you were not treated with the respect you deserve. I will continue to do everything possible to see that never again you, or others, are disappointed in this way. Again thanks for informing us of ongoing problems that need addressed. I will also address any of the preparation for the cauliflower cause most guests love it, it should have had a little bit of spice to it. I would like for you to give us another try for sure. Contact me at [email protected] and we will definitely get things sorted out. -Stephanie H FOH Manager

They can't get your order right and then blame the mistakes on another staff member instead of just admitting they screwed up. I will never visit this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone.

54th Street was founded in Kansas City, MO by Thomas E. Norsworthy in 1989. He envisioned a place that would accommodate a consistently crowded dining room as well as a lively bar crowd, while offering the quality food and drinks that exceed national chai
Went early 5pm because we heard it was a busy place and it was great! Nick was our server and he was great. We got a discount staying at the Comfort Suites a block away. Ribs were really good and the fish/shrimp combo. Great side choices! And the sangria was very good.Enjoyed the food and ambiance!

We were able to make a reservation for 16 of us for lunch at noon the day before. They had our table ready and high chairs were in waiting. This place has a pretty extensive menu and is extremely kid friendly with an excellent childrenâs menu.

If you are a 50-something single looking to drink too many mid-afternoon Coors Lights while watching golf/NASCAR on tv, this would have been the spot. If you are looking for anything else, maybe keep looking. Real basic bar food- chewy chicken, completely unseasoned french fries, runny ranch dressing. Iâm told chicken wings are their specialty...at about $1/wing they had better be!

We went here for dinner and had a very pleasant experience. The ambiance is relaxed and casual. Service was cheerful and prompt. The salads are huge as are the sandwiches so we shared one of each. The Cuban sandwich was good. The adian Thai salad was really nice. Prices are reasonable for quality and portion size.
