We had the shrimp salad, cheesy fries and a cheesy burger. They were all good. My favorite was the cheesy fries with turkey bacon. It's worth a try. I did expect it to be cheesier. The service was good. Nice server. The only thing to change might be the menu. It has no prices on it. So the waiter what the prices are per item. It was time consuming.

We stopped here for a quick lunch that turned everything but quick. On the good side, the place is very touristy oriented and you can sit outside which is very nice. Also, the food was good and they provide a mix of Surinamese food with traditional salads and sandwiches. The staff is very nice and attentive but hour food took hours to arrive. We were lucky we had some extra time but this was quite an extreme delay. They offered and apology but I think it was so late they would have needed to offer a complimentary coffee or desert in top of an apology.

I had lunch in this restaurant. Soup and a sandwich. Food is nice, not very Surinamese, but the again they just sold their last sandwich Pom. Their style is the more modern western food. To bad. Soup was nice, sandwich ok. Service was efficient. Crowd is mixed, middle aged and young. They have a nice looking inside air conditioned area and an outside area. Prices are high for Paramaribo. But then again this is one of the few places that are open for lunch on Sundays! It doesn't hurt to give it a try on a Sunday afternoon.

Nice thin, crunchy bottom with a rich topping. Loved it!

Really enjoyed my dinner at Las Tias... and it sure seemed as though everyone around me was as well. Super friendly staff, especially at the bar where I ate my dinner and downed several Mojitos. I ordered a few small dishes and everything was really perfect in presentation and zest. It was a Friday night and the place was quite packed, so I'd recommend going early or reserving a table if possible. I understand it is open early in the day as well for lunch and there certainly are a number of dishes priced accordingly for lunch.Only complaint would be no menus in English... but you can get around that easily enough. Just might have missed something really cool or unique. I will see this is not a unique complaint in the area as many restaurants seem to not have any English menus.

I decided to go to De Waag with a colleague who was in Paramaribo on her first visit. De Waag may not be the most exciting place, but the food is decent and the setting is great. I had a light starter, followed by the moksi fish (mixed grilled fish), accompanied by some Chilean wine.
