Oulu (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈowlu] ( listen); Swedish: Uleåborg [ˌʉːleɔˈbɔrj]) is a city and municipality of 201,124 inhabitants (31 August 2017) in the region of Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. It is the most populous city in Northern Finland and the fifth most populous city in the country. There are no larger cities, apart from Murmansk and Norilsk, Russia, that are more northerly than Oulu. It is also considered one of Europe's "living labs", where residents experiment with new technology (such as NFC tags and ubi-screens) at a community-wide scale.

This café stands in the market place in a prominent position....It is an excellent converted old wooden warehouse, with seating outside on a terraced area, inside near to the serving counter and on the upper floor....Quaint place with lots of character. Lovely pastries and great coffee.We enjoyed pastry delights and a good beer. Great place to watch the world go by whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the market...Great staff, very helpful and pleasant.....Toilet facilities on the upper floor, greeted by a reindeers head at the top of the stars....Bit cramped but adequate....not for the disabled and those with great walking difficulties....Lovely how the building creaks as you take to the steps.....

Good location, good food, good service. Combine these with some good company and you canât really go wrong with Amarillo. The restaurant seemed quite popular on a saturday evening. We had to wait quite some time to get a table. Service was good.

We ordered only main courses and they came very quickly. I suspect that my schnitzel was pre-made and heated. The schnitzel was swimming in the sauce and there was also a small bowl of vodka loosened blueberry jam. The overall appearance of my dish was like in the cafeteria of ABC gas stations here in Finland. The portion was big.The service was friendly and efficient.

Vox has made wine tasting easy and affordable to everyone. Selection is well planned with about 20 names in red and white. Good cellary of champagnes available. Here you can also have beers with many producers. Relaxed and nice feeling.

The best restaurant in Northern Finland. Very unique menu, unique style. The owners gather mushrooms and berries their self from the forrest.If you visit Oulu you should visit Ostroferia.Restaurant does not have a menu on internet, it changes all the time. Ostroferia was chosen the 28. Best restaurant in Finland at 2017 but I think it is in top 3.Remember it takes about 2 hours for 5 course dinner. I don't have any bad words about this place. 5 course menu without drinks is 55â¬.
