We arrived on time for our reservation and we were immediately seated. The waitress (Jenn) came to our table to take our drink order and we immediately noticed she was preoccupied with something else and not paying attention to what we were ordering for drinks. Jenn didn't welcome us, she doesn't know how to chat with a customer. We ordered two glasses of chianti wine, however, she repeated our drink orders back to us as Pinot noir. We immediately corrected her. The drinks took a very long time before they arrived at our table. The waitress was very harried and was in a rush to take our dinner orders, she never told us what dinner specials the restaurant was ordering that evening. We know that there were specials because the same waitress told the people at the table next to us what they were after we received our meals. Jenn, the waitress was not focused on us throughout the entire meal. We interacted with other Savoy staff and they were very attentive to us and our requests unlike Jenn. We are sorry we didn't have another server, Jenn was too hurried for us. I don't know why, obviously something else was going on but it shouldn't be reflected in her service to our table. I always tip 20% of the bill, however in this case considering the service I left only 15% and that was probably too generous in this situation. Serving is a hard job, but don't take it out on the customer. Now to the meals, we ordered tuna poke and crab cakes for appetizers. Both we good, the crab cakes we actually made to look like meatballs and not flat like a cake. We ordered the brazed short ribs which were also good. The food was good but the service from Jenn wasn't. Years ago, prior to Savoy this restaurant was an upscale steakhouse known by another name. The bathrooms need some serious attention such as a make over and cleaning.

Great service with a smile EVERY night, generous bartenders, usually a very relaxed atmosphere, two dart boards and a great internet jukebox. While everything I've eaten there has been really good, the wings are GREAT. You can't go wrong here.

Formerly Crown Steakhouse, Crown Gastropub is known for outstanding food, extraordinary service and a world class selection of whiskey, bourbon & rye. Join us in our warm casual atmosphere from Tuesday through Sunday. Half price happy hour during the week
"Crown Steakhouse," has changed to "Crown Gastropub. Impressed with the quality of the food and the service. John the bartender is a character and makes a great Moscow mule. Bourbon's and Whiskey selection is fantastic. The food and service are great. Had the Scottish Egg (a definite to try appy) Worth a revisit. I have already recommended it to a few friends.

This place is a great place to get away and have good food with getting some sun. It offers inside and outside seating, games for kids and adults, good drinks and the lobster rolls are the best thing on the menu. The outdoor area has beach chairs and beach sand overlooking the marina.

Step into Runyon's and you'll quickly forget about the cars cruising along Merrick Road just outside. Half of Runyon's is a bar large enough to accommodate two or three softball teams and a popcorn machine. The other half is an informal seafood restaurant
Bar is ok. Many Locals probably at the place to meet friends and have a beer. I ate in the dining room during the day. That was a mistake. The dining room is filthy. The boothl chairs are faded and stained. They were stuffed w used napkins and paper sstraw wraps . The food was just OK. Nothing great. I definitely would not go here again. There are so many other nice bars and pubs in this area, I would skip it. Itâs heyday from the 80s is over

Nice place right in town with good parking. Can't go wrong with the burgers. Some of the daily specials are also very good.

I don't typically go anywhere for Happy Hour so it was a happy, value added when I stumbled into Grillfire - Merrick. Hard to find fault with a good pour of smirnoff vodka, dirty on the rocks for $7.00. What's more impressive is the very extensive Happy Hour bar menu featuring a vast array of small plate options at, you guessed it $7.00 too.Charming & outgoing bar maid (do they still call female bartenders, bar maids?) who serve me piping hot - fresh popcorn with my cocktail. Thank you Loraine. This may have been the only GM restaurant that had not yet experienced. So, make a reservation for dinner, it's worth the drive. We're so happy you enjoyed yourself while visiting! We hope to see you again soon for some delicious cocktails and fresh popcorn or for dinner!

Restaurant is new; staff is welcoming; flavors are extraordinary and the place is very comfortable. Good spot!
I came for brunch few times. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: great food, excellent hostess, reasonable brunch menu and prices, various seating options, large food portions, full bar. Cons: while the hostess is great (and does a lot of work) the rest of the waiting staff is not nearly as good. In fact their bus boys do a better job than some of their waiters. Weekend Brunch is very busy and things fall in the cracks (unclean tables, stained glasses, overwhelmed waiters). Most of the issues can be fixed by further training the waiting staff on both skills and attitude. The hostess could do the training cause she is always on top of her game.
