Aim to get here as close to midday as possible as it will be packed by quarter past! Huge salads, beef cheeks cooked in red wine and other sturdy Provençal dishes are yours for not much more than £9.0. You'll be nicely sated! Highly recommended.

Our restaurant of our choice was fully booked for lunch on a Saturday and we asked Phillippe where we bought some art, his favourite place for lunch and he nominated this cafe as unpretentious but with an excellent kitchen. We wandered by and made a booking for 13:00, which was fortunate as by then it was very busy. We sat in the street and enjoyed the foie gras and a salad as the entree, followed by cod with aioli and steak tartare with salad and chips. These were all excellent, especially the four gras and we thought to pass on dessert until we saw what the neighbouring table received. We also ordered the cafe gourmand - espresso with a small creme brûlée, a friand with blueberries, and a chocolate casing with cream anglaise and fresh berries! Friendly, charming, efficient and happy young waitress complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommend.

I knew the owner when she handled a stunning unique sushi bar. Here again, she manages to combine in her recipies traditions and saveurs or preparations from her many travels. The produces are excellent, very very fresh. You are warmly welcomed and the service while discrete is impeccable.
