The quality of your dish will depend directly on the chief who works at kitchen. We visited this restaurant four times, impressions of the first three were above any praises. The fourth time disappointed us. My linguini were, almost, shipped in oil, and tomatoes were sour. It is sad that one unsuccessful time spoiled the previous impressions of visit of restaurant. I do not recommend to take a dessert - the woman who prepares them the hot fan of sugar))

Arrived at Happy Hour for a meal before getting on Amtrak. Was pleased with my $5 Blood Mary, but thrilled to have six fresh oysters for $6 (even though there was no "y" in the month name.) I took my server's advice: the scallop tacos were very tasty and the Gooey Butter Cake with homemade brown sugar ice cream was delicious. My only minor quibble was no chocolate dessert.

Hot Rod Cafe is a fun and friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant featuring 24 kinds of beer on tap and 24 kinds of wings. Great water view and service!
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Hot Rod. Nothing to look at from the outside but cozy inside and a wonderful outdoor deck with water views. All three of us tatted our meals as very good. Reasonable prices, great service, good variety. My friend always finds it hard to get Prosecco but they had it. My rose wine frozen slush is was outstanding. The chicken wings were amazing with 20+ sauces from which to choose. Their wraps also were very good. The only down side is on street parking and finding a space can be a challengeonwhen you go.

An early Saturday dinner before Christmas shopping found us at this tucked away country club- no membership needed to eat at the restaurant. The wait staff was excellent: friendly, funny and full of suggestions. We started with clams casino which were tasty and just enough to share. My hubby chewed down on bread while the GF me waited patiently for dinner. And then there it was. I had the salmon which came with Brussels spouts and baked potato. I love when it comes with butter AND sour cream and I don't have to say a word. The salmon was perfectly cooked as were the sprouts. Hubby had prime rib, also perfectly cooked. The server Josh was a delight and mentioned that they seem to have found a great chef after trying a number of them so if you tried Langley's before with less than satisfactory results, give them another try. We will go back during the day or a full moon to take in the promised view. A hit on many levels.

Located in New London, CT across from Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, The Recovery Room restaurant has been a favorite among locals for decades! Casual restaurant serving red & white pizzas as well as classic Italian entrees.
My experiences of the Recovery Room are always the best experiences. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food is delicious. I have never had a bad meal, even tried some new food cuisines.Even takeout is a great experience. Food is prepared and ready within minutes.

The Rustic originally opened as a large restaurant, bar and dance hall. It was known to have the likes of Frank Sinatra stop by for an evening out. After a devastating fire, it was rebuilt in 1969 to its present, cozy size. Eccentric locals and summer tou
This is a small and quaint joint, where I went today with my wife, parents and sister. The place is very welcoming, and offers good value for your buck. A selection of CT beers, nice to try what is produced nearby. Good food, especially the apple pie desert :)Not far from I-95, I will come back.

First, I cannot understand why some reviews took exception with the service, I've been coming here for years and never once had anything but excellent wait staff. Personally I think three stars a bit under-rated.Anyway, the menu is varied and it should appeal to the most discriminating palates. I've had several seafood dishes, ribs and a few chicken entrees; all were excellent. There's a decent selection of bottled and draft beers, too. Parking is easy. This place can get crowded on a summer evening. Despite what one reviewer mentioned, just because a few people rode motorcycles here to have dinner, it's not a biker bar; (feel free to bring your kids, I do).

Stopped in for a nostalgic drink. A bar and restaurant has been at this location since the beginning of time. For the most part little has changed except for ownership. Nice old fashioned bar with attached restaurant that offer pub grub. Good selection of draft beers. Did not eat but food looked as expected for a place like this. Lots of fried food etc. Last visited about 50 years ago so I enjoyed the sameness.

After a long day of Antiquing we happen to be going by the Lyme Tavern on an empty stomach so of course we decided to stop in for dinner. Upon entering you could smell the stale beer right away telling us that this wasn't going to be a place we would come back to. The space could certainly use some updates. The service was excellent and the food was mediocre at best.

We stopped for dinner after a movie next door. The menu is varied with an excellent selection of appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. Service was excellent. There is a nice selection of Irish/English items as well.
